Enjoyable tour - Lucian was a great tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the history of the two castles. We had a great time and learned a lot. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Fantastic day trip - Narcis was our tour guide and driver, he was very knowledgeable and went in to the history of Romania and buildings of importance. His commentary around the castles and around Brasov was very interesting. Glad we had Narcis as a guide and his sense of humour was good too, had to be with my nutty family. Would highly recommend he won't disappoint!

Dedicated guide - The trip was really nice, definitely a must do. My English guide, Sonia, was extremely pleasant and joyful, she made the whole experience way more enjoyable. The whole trip took ~13.5h and we saw a lot. There was some time spent waiting in line for Pele's castle but it's nobody's fault and we still managed to do everything without being rushed too much. RECOMMENDED

Very interesting day - I made this excursion with 2 friends to discover the surroundings of Bucharest. The tour was recommended by the hotel where we were staying. Meeting point University square. We visited the castle of Peles, but only externally because on Mondays and Tuesdays it is closed, Bran castle, very suggestive at a cost of 70 lei, and Brasov charming town in Austro-Hungarian style. Special thanks go to guide Daniel who throughout the day has juggled in excellent Italian and told a lot about Bucharest, its history and the places visited. He was very kind and is very prepared.

Disappointing, chaotic! - We had looked forward to this trip but were extremely disappointed. First of all the company did not tell us it would be extremely crowded at the castles and that the traffic would be terrible as it was a public holiday weekend. We had other days that we could have chosen had we known, and would have had the experience we expected. Secondly we and most other people arrived punctually as instructed but one family did not, and Grey Line decided to wait for them. They were 40 minutes late! Queues at both castles were lengthy and because of time lost we did not have the promised time in Brasov, a couple of hours for a visit and lunch, but instead were given 40 minutes free time in Bran, most of which is taken over by a tacky market and fast food stalls. Everything was so chaotic that our guide even suggested we could return to Bucharest by train to get their faster - at our own expense of course. We chose Grey Line as they were considerably more expensive than other companies so we expected better. Had we taken a cheap option we would only have had ourselves to blame!

Mixed: don’t schedule on Monday or tuesday - The trip was too long. Peles castle was closed for the day…we came later on a different tour, and were able to see the inside. Make sure you don’t schedule this trip on Monday or Tuesday when the castle is closed. Bran castle was really cool, however. The trip back was incredibly uncomfortable because they couldn’t figure out how to turn the heater off in the bus.
