The journey begins at Poenari Fortress, a historic stronghold once used by Vlad the Impaler, the real-life inspiration for the Dracula legend. Participants will appreciate its exterior and delve into its intriguing past.
The tour continues to the impressive Vidraru Dam, an engineering marvel from the 1960s that contains the shimmering waters of Lake Vidraru.
Next, the group will ascend into the Făgăraș Mountains National Park, where the beauty of nature is on full display. Here, visitors may observe Wild Brown Bears in their natural habitat.
The highlight of the tour is Bâlea Lake, situated at an altitude of over 2,000 meters. Guests will have the opportunity to unwind, enjoy a meal, and take in the breathtaking views, including the renowned Transfăgărășan Road, celebrated on Top Gear as one of the world’s most beautiful roads.
On the return journey, there will be a stop at Capra Waterfall, ideal for enjoying the crisp mountain air and capturing stunning photographs.

- We will NOT visit the interior of Poenari Fortress, we will only see it from below - outside. To enter in Poenari Fortress you have to climb 66 floors on the stairs!
