a splendid experience with Mircea - I came to Bucharest last year and did not take a tour with Mircea ( a big mistake! ), this time I took 2 tours with Mircea in the last 2 days and i enjoyed them so much! Mircea gave me a different view of the City and I started to like it! Mircea's knowledge of the City and his passion for architecture of Bucharest is amazing, we learned so much and cannot stop admiring the beautiful houses in various different areas, it was a feast of the city culture between 1900 to 1950s! Enjoy this tour and it will make you to see a very different side of Bucharest.

What a Great Tour - It was an amazing tour. I saw places, I would not find on my own. We visited old houses, famous streets, a market, an old villa and interesting street art. The guide made it so special. He knows everything about Bukarest. We had lunch and later on sausages, try the eggplant salad - tasty. Some beers, a lot of talking and getting to know each other and the life in Bukarest. It were 6 hours that just flew by. Moreover, he gave me tips for restaurants and more places to visit. The tour is really worth it. Reserve your Ticket!!!

Very insightful and entertaining - We thought we know Bucharest..but we learned a lot of new things about the history of the city and some celebrities which belong to the history of the city. Mircea is the perfect guide..fun, entertaining and very careful to the small details. He really made the difference! It’s awesome to still be able to discover the old Bucharest and at the same have a guide who talks to you and not just recites the story.

serendipity.. - We ended up in one of the most complex and fun tours we had in a while. Great food and stories and the host just clicked with all our needs. The path of the tour is very well balanced between the stops and the things you get to see and photograph. We would never discover that area despite being so close to the old center of the city.

Understanding a city - I lived in Bucharest for 19 years and had no idea it had such great stories to tell. Took the tour with a few friends and spent 3 or 4 hours wandering the old streets of the city. We discovered there's a public bath functioning since the 19th century in the center of Bucharest, saw otoman and modernist architecture and had a lovely lemonade in a garden. Over all, a pleasant way to spend a Sunday.

Great stories! Because it's all about the stories, isn't it? - During a short trip home, I spent a great Saturday afternoon acting as a tourist in my hometown. I thought I knew the city pretty well, but Local Hosts proved me wrong and I can appreciate that.

👍 - I had a great time with Mircea wandering around the neighbourhoods of Bucharest appreciating the beautiful and eclectic architecture and street art. I booked the tour on short notice and Mircea and Local Hosts were so great to accommodate me. The tour was about 5 hours long and Mircea had interesting stories and facts the entire time. We visited a variety of unique places, none of which would be on the typical tourist trail. I highly recommend this tour to everyone. So much to learn!

Local revelations - I have been living abroad for a few years now and in one of my vacation back home I brought some friends with me and we decided to try out a tour for them, which is not really our first option since I like to think I know my city! Local Hosts has proven us that Bucharest is a city with many secrets and unknown old tales. I have now a better understanding of the background of the city, we explored beautiful parks and the oldest cemetery, while enjoying a traditional meal and a cold beer. Highly recommended for people who like tours with a personal touch and passionate guides!  Thank you for a great day!
