My guide Ana and driver... - My guide Ana and driver Mario were so lovely and great companions during the trip. Although it rained while we were on the way to our last stop at Sibiel, overall it was a fun trip. Sibiu is a beautiful city

OUTSTANDING GUIDE - Adrian picked us up on time at the hotel. Extremely friendly, examplained every part of the day in detail addding extra knowledge of the landscape and Romania. He was not stop with information giving us tips.As an old couple he went out of his way to help us. The traffic was terrible and handled this really well. Expressed empathy over the fires in our country Australia. This guide offered little things that other guides don't share. Best guide we have had in Europe.

Amazing experience on our tour - We just returned from this full day trip with our guide Matei. We were uncertain when contacting this local agency as they don’t advertise that much but once we got the e-mails going we were sure we made the right decision. The guide waited for us in the morning at our hotel and while driving to Sibiu, he gave us a great overview of Romania, with history, fun facts and great explanations. On the way we stopped at more sites than what we bargained for as we wanted to see also the ruined castle at Avrig. Nothing was too much for Matei, he showed us Sibiu in and out and when we got hungry, he took us to a local restaurant. We cannot say more about how happy we were. Great job!

Used Eastern European Experience to organize a 10 day private trip - excellent - I had met Stefan Mototolea about two years ago when he was involved with Gate 1 tours and he took the group to Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia with Gate 1. I was so impressed with his knowledge, enthusiasm and personality I contacted him about nine months ago asking if he'd be able to arrange a private tour for myself and two friends. I wanted to concentrate on Romania as I couldn't believe how beautiful Romania is and how much it had to offer - wanted to go see the sites didn't have time to do before. We were able to arrange a tour with his company for ten days and able to set our own pace, our own itinerary and saw parts of Romania that are off the beaten path. I was amazed how reasonable the entire cost was - the transportation, admission to sites, and accommodations. The accommodations were all located in the heart of the historical district and easy walking distance of everything and anything. The only thing I would like to mention - if you have a problem with stairs, you need to mention that as all the delightful places we stayed were historical and had no elevators - so there are stairs. Lots of stairs. Stefan, of course, with his wealth of knowledge offered his suggestions as to itinerary, but we had the final say in what we wanted to do. After a while, we said no more churches. The guide he provided to us, Teo Stefan Tat, was an absolute delight, knowledgeable and very flexible. I don't know what to say about Teo other than excellent, excellent. When it was arranged for Teo to show up at nine in the morning, he was there at 8:58. Everything went like clockwork and was amazed at how seamless everything was. Stefan/Teo was even able at the very last minute to work a miracle and get me a single room as my roommate snores enough she could win the Olympic snoring medal. We had arranged a car to transport us from Bucharest to Macedonia (won't do that again - way too long) and the border guards decided the Romanian license plate of the transport car was illegal and so impounded the car until paperwork could catch up to prove the car wasn't illegal (which it was not.) Anyway, not sure how Stefan managed this but within an hour and a half of a panicked phone call he had managed to arrange alternate transportation and we were on our way again. I swear this man is a magician with his contacts and his ability to get things done. I will definitely plan on using Stefan and his company again - next time would like to explore Slovakia. I give this company a ten thumbs up with no hesitation at all.
