Extremely educational, gut-wrenching experience. Highly recommended. - I had a fantastic experience with Svit. He is very passionate and knowledgable, and the tour was very well prepared. Seeing the war crimes memorials in the Kyiv suburbs is an existential experience that will help anyone understand what Ukraine is fighting for and what is at stake in this war.

Probably the best tour I’ve ever done - Extremely good tour. Very interesting and eye opening. Svit is very friendly and will answer all questions with enthusiasm and a deep knowledge of all circumstances surrounding the war. There are still loads of destroyed buildings and you still see millions of bullet holes in every neighbourhood. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Experience the horror yourself, with the best guide you can imagine. - Given the sad topic, it's hard to say that it was a "nice" tour. But the guide Svit was the best you could imagine. He has a huge knowledge of the current situation, but also the historical one. He combines his stories with videos and pictures on his tablet. I can only warmly recommend that those who travel there take the tour and see for themselves the terrible things that happened there. It seems much more intense than that mere stories from the media. Thank you Svit, you are the best ❤️🇺🇦

An eye opening tour - Svit’s tour of the horrors of Russian occupation was very eye opening. There was a lot of meaning to seeing these locations in person and unfiltered. Thank you for everything and helping show the world what is happening in Ukraine.

This tour helps enormously to understand the background - We were very interested to see what happened in Ukraine in the early days of the Russian full-scale invasion. The north-western suburbs of Kyiv in particular suffered greatly. Of course, you can also visit these places yourself, but this guided tour gives you so much background information that is very difficult or even impossible to research yourself. Even if fortunately you can only see some of the material damage today, this tour is particularly concerned with the situation of the people under Russian occupation. Something that is not so easy to find on the internet. The guide Svit is fully immersed in the topic. You can tell that he is very interested in it. He is very knowledgeable, has done a lot of research and is happy to answer any questions about the war, life in Ukraine or anything else. Think about all your questions in advance. This is a unique opportunity! We visited Butscha, Irpin, Hostomel and Borodjanka together. Each place suffered greatly, but the course of the war was different. You will recognise many places that you may already know from television, YouTube or your own research. You can then organise your thoughts much better. We can recommend this tour to everyone!

Bucha, Irpin, Hostomel and Borodyanka tour with Svit - must-see with your own eyes - We went on a tour to Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel and Borodyanka, visiting the liberated towns of Kyiv region. The guide showed us what happened in 2022, and we saw how the situation has changed in some areas, while others remain devastated. We are grateful to our guide Svit from Capital Tours for dedicated job and to all Ukrainians for defending

An experience that I will not forget - For months, I had been thinking about visiting Kyiv to really understand what values are being defended and why they matter. I struggled with the idea of going to a country at war, wanting to avoid any sense of "war tourism". I wanted to see for myself what Russia is doing to Ukraine, a country that didn’t escalate the conflict. Plus, I didn't want to wander outside Kyiv on my own - for safety and as out of respect for the locals. I found Svit through a German newspaper article that convinced me to book his tour. We met up at the planned time, and he spent the whole day showing me around different sites that had been impacted by the war. Svit really knows his stuff—not just about the current conflict but also the history behind it and the long-standing relationship between Ukraine and Russia. He speaks great English and shares his insights with a mix of humor and deep understanding, as someone who’s lived through this invasion. If you book this tour, don’t expect to see blown-up tanks or battlefield scenes like in the movies. Instead, you’ll witness the real effects of war on everyday life and the destruction it brings to a country. What I saw that day will stick with me, and I definitely don’t regret spending that time with Svit.

Two very informative, interesting days and tours, with Svit - 2 very informative, interesting tours with Svit I am usually well prepared and explore unknown cities alone. In the places in Ukraine, in a state of war and with recent history, the situation is completely different! That’s why I booked the tour ‘Private tour to Kyiv region - the horrors of ruzzian occupation’ and didn’t regret it for a second! Svit is 100% worth the money. He knows more than he can tell in time, shows special features and still drives a car. My second tour was through Kiev, to the right and left of the ‘Dnipro’, to the largest fitness center on earth, to the beach, to the ‘St. Andrew Church’, to the statue ‘Mother Home’ and to ‘Babyn Jar’. A dynamic, friendly tour guide! Thanks Svit!!! 2 very informative, interesting tours with Svit I am usually well prepared and explore unknown cities on my own. Insightful and impactful - highly recommended - It is quite something to witness the aftermath of such a pivotal moment in history and the human tragedy that goes with it. Russia's invasion has left a dark and cold shadow which can still send a shiver down the spine during certain parts of the Bucha tour. Yet there are also signs of renewal and life returning which provide hope. Svit manages the tour well, is good company and has some interesting insights. Overall, Kyiv and the surrounding oblast felt safe and I would not hesitate to return. I highly recommend visiting Kyiv and taking this tour. Slava Ukraine !
