Wonderful Opportunities to Get to Know Local People and their Crafts - We've traveled to this part of Mexico many times. The Human Connections Cultural Day Tour gave us the opportunity to begin to get to know and appreciate local people and their artistry in ways that no other experience ever has. The tour is worth every penny. If you have ever wished that your Spanish was good enough to have meaningful conversations with local people, then the cultural guides, such as Claudia at Human Connections, are the translators and communicators that you have been looking for. The organization creates comfortable, respectful environments where personal stories - yours and those of the people you are visiting - can be shared and savored. The crafts are exquisitely made and the food served is delicious. Like us, you will surely be looking for your next opportunity to engage with Human Connections.

The Human Connections Bucerias Cultural Day delivered as promised! - What an amazing day. This is travel at its best. We got to know three local business people, a beadcraft worker, a woodworker, and a chef/masseuse couple. We heard their personal stories and each of us on the tour shared some of our personal stories as well. These were "human commections" where we each learned about the other's life and culture. This experience will forever change my mental image of the people I meet on the beach selling their products. Each one has a story to tell, and my life is richer when I listen and connect. In addition our host and tour guide was a first class connector!

Wonderful glimpse into three Bucerias artisans lives - This tour was a wonderful glimpse into lives of three Bucerias families who are creatives. We were told their stories of their art--a hammock maker, a rug weaver, and a Mexican chef. The fee was very appropriate for the tour, but if taken by anyone, know that tips to each artisan are appreciated. We were a group of about 12, I think-small enough to feel that all my questions were answered. It was a 5 hour tour. We hope to take another Human Connections tour during our next visit.

Excellent Day - This was our first Human Connection tour. Our tour guide was excellent and did an amazing job of translating. Seeing how the one couple weave and make hammocks, chairs and bags was most impressive. The couple were engaging and it was very obvious they loved what they did. Our next visit was to see how they make rugs, small and large and to learn the entire process. Very interesting to see and learn so many aspects of the trip. Our next stop was to have a wonderful home made lunch prepared by a Mexican family. The family was very nice and most entertaining. There were 12 people on the tour which was a perfect size. The length of tour was perfect. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and there was good communication amongst the group. A day to remember. Thank you.

An enjoyable 1/2 day with a unique organization. - We came away impressed with Human Connection's history and non-profit mission. Four of us spent an enjoyable morning and early afternoon on the tour. Our tour guide, Mauricio, was excellent as was each of our stops, including lunch. We are looking forward to booking another tour with Human Connections next year.

Connecting with locals - What a wonderful opportunity to "go behind scenes" to meet the people selling items on the beach and in mercados, and their families, experiencing their way of life and learning how they create their items for sale. The humanizing of cultural artisans beyond the consumerism, comodities for sale, aspect of tourism, is truly impactful and entirely memorable.

Treasures of Bucerias - The people are the treasures of Bucerias and Mauricio does an excellent job of bringing us to their homes in the true part of Mexico north of the highway. The people shared with us their skills, accomplishments and warmth. I look forward to more experiences of Mexico with Human Connection.

This is a special Experience! - This was our first Human Connections tour and it will not be our last! Mauricio is a top notch guide. His kind, caring manner toward not only the tour participants but the wonderful people he introduced us to was a delight to behold. He was so knowledgeable and he imparted his knowledge with ease. He is a natural teacher. The Name Human Connection is just right for this tour Not for profit group as I felt that Mauricio truly helped us all connect to the experince of the wonderful people we met. We plan to go on another outing as soon as possible.

Not good value for the money. Also, we were told to arrive at 8:30, but sat there until others arrived just before 9.. - Overall, We were disappointed. We expected a hands on demonstration, and there wasn’t one at the bead works. Leo’s story was informative but shocking, and strayed into her latest very stressful experience. We are not therapists. The wood working was interesting and the artist showed us how to make the different items. As expected we had time to purchase ( no pressure) items. The Mexican lunch was wonderful, and the salsa making and tasting was interesting and fun. Lunch was delicious.
