Morning Marvels: Comic Mural Tour
Springtime in Brussels is a magical experience, and what better way to start your day than with a vibrant exploration of the city’s iconic comic murals? On April 12th and 13th, the weather is perfect for a morning stroll, with temperatures starting at a crisp 43.8°F and warming up as the day progresses. The Comic Mural Tour is a self-guided, app-based adventure that takes you through 12 of the most famous murals in central Brussels. This tour is available from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, allowing you to enjoy the art at your own pace.
As you wander through the city, you’ll encounter beloved characters like Tintin and Asterix, each mural telling its own unique story. The tour is designed to be flexible, so you can pause for a coffee or a photo whenever you like. One recent review praised the tour for its accessibility and the ability to learn about comic book writers while enjoying a leisurely walk:
Great Tour using phone apps. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this tour as I was a bit daunted by it because of my poor mobility - but it was great. We did it at our own pace - just the 2 of us- and stopped along the way to have some lunch and carried on with the rest of the tour. We learnt things about Comic Book writers that we knew nothing about and I took some great photos. Highly recommended. Do it at your own pace and within your own time and then go into some of the Bande Dessinees bookshops and check out the writers.
With the sun rising at 6:54 AM, you’ll have plenty of daylight to soak in the sights and sounds of Brussels’ artistic side.
