Beer and food tour - My son and I did the beer and food pairing tour in Brussels with our guide, Ithier. He was excellent. It started with two beers at a local pub, on to mussels and beer, beef stew, and waffles and ice cream for desert, each course with a new beer. Ithier is clever, knowledgeable and clearly enjoys the evening as much as the guests. If you are in Brussels, this tour is a must-do. Ask for Ithier-“eh tee aye”

Great Way to Learn about Brussels and its Beer - We met our guide Etienne just outside the Godiva store in the Grand Place. Since it was a week night, it was just my husband and myself and our guide. It felt like having a friend show you around his city. We began in the Grand Place with the Christmas light show, and he explained the history and architecture of the square. Then we were off to start sampling beers and food. He took us to places off-the-beaten track that we never would have found ourselves where we tasted beers that we would not have discovered on our own. His explanations about what made each beer unique were fascinating. I came to a new appreciation for Belgian beer after learning that there was so much more variety than I usually see in the US. I have to admit after the tour, I was able to find my favorite brews in Chicago--so definitely take photos of your favorites (and don't rely on your memory). There was plenty of food and beer on the tour. A definite highlight of our trip.

Sebastian is the best--and the beer wasn't bad either! - TAKE THIS TOUR! Sebastian is excellent; not only is he incredibly knowledgable about beer and where to drink it, but he also has a keen understanding of his city--the good and bad--and is a great amabssador to those who are new to it. The tour was the perfect blend of city history, brewing processes, walking, and, of course, drinking. The small group size is honored and the beer pours are certainly not skimpy "samples". Perfectly conceptualized tour from start to finish, including the chocolate!

Very impressed with this organization - We were originally booked to take a walking tour with Global, but our guide was sick. The owner refunded our money, gave us a mini tour of around the Grand Place and sent us on this beer tour. Very impressed with them. Our guide was Ethierre (sp?), who was knowledgeable, amenable, friendly, well-informed and an all round great guy. I am not a beer drinker but I sure enjoyed the info about the city, the neighbourhoods, the bars and the beer. We met some great folks from Quebec, Denmark, and Pennsylvania. I would recommend this company and this tour. Loved it.

Terrible!!! - We showed up to the meeting point 10inuted early and waited 1 hour. The host never showed! We tried to contact them but no response. We then contacted viator customer service who also could not get a hold of the host. We then requested a refund. The next day our refund was declined. Apparently the host claimed we w ere not at the meeting spot on time which is a lie. Luckily viator ended up giving me a refund because when they tried to get more info from the host they never responded. Will never book with them again. This felt like a total scam. Would give zero stars if I could. Save yourself the letdown and headache and book a beer tour with multiple good ratings.
