Travel in time - We really enjoyed our visit to the historium in Bruges. Through the story of 2 Bruges we were able to experience both their story and we also got to hear a part of the history of Bruges' rich past in every room we visited. Highly recommended also with children who can enjoy themselves in the last room solving questions about the past.

Loved it - Very pleasant surprise. The story experience was absolutely awesome. Plus the beer terrace with the wide selection of beers is something I did appreciate a lot.

Surprisingly, worth it - Because the weather was very bad, we decided to visit this museum. Entrance of 20 p.p. for just the story was a bit on the pricey side, but you did get your money's worth. Through a film about life in the Middle Ages, you got an idea of what it was like back then. You walked from room to room that was recreated as the scene in the video. think of the Point of Sale, the harbor, domestic life, bathhouse etc. The rooms were decorated and cared for to perfection. Afterwards you had ended up at the top of the museum where you could still view everything about the history of Bruges in the Middle Ages via your own audio. It is also recommended to watch the video of the making off about the story that ran through the museum.

accessible and visual story for a wider and international audience - Already been here as a teacher and in the holidays as a tourist. It is certainly a nice added value for children and young people that makes history very visual. The story is accessible and shows a microstory of Bruges in the 15th century. It must be said that the bigger picture is somewhat lacking and that the added value seeker remains a little hungry. More contextualisation might have been welcome. Those who only spend a few hours in Bruges for the first time have little business here, but those who have already visited the 'real' city will find a welcome change here. Even in less weather, it can be a great alternative.

Different way of doing a museum - The museum reminded me somewhat of The Canterbury Tales, the museum in Canterbury, England. It was an interesting way of doing a museum, based on a story, film and built sets. I thought the story itself was somewhat lackluster, but it was a special experience, nevertheless a bit disappointing, although I think that for people who have never visited such a museum, they will be anything but disappointed. The museum area afterwards was clean and beautifully presented, although the displays themselves and interactive elements (except the screens) were very dirty, which is a downside as they are mainly intended for children. The information from some displays was also confusing or repetitive when listening to it with the audio guide. The throne where you can take a photo and the view from the balcony were extremely nice pluses to the entire experience. In terms of staff: the person at the desk was quite curt and not very welcoming, while the person in charge of the audio guide was extremely friendly and approachable. The toilets were neat and the prices of the shop were very over the top for the quality, not recommended as souvenirs.

Lots of money for nothing - Kids stuff. For families quite nice and for people with an attention span of a moth maybe okay. Otherwise, little draft. Superficial love story in Bruges with some props around it. Lots of money for nothing.

Mere illusion - Pure illusion! I expected a total immersion in the Middle Ages of Flanders, but it was made excessively gloomy, almost horror movies, and the audio guides did not work well. Too bad because the story told by the young artist and his muse was cute, and with a happy ending. Dear grace that I paid 16 euros instead of 20, thanks to my 100% disability.

Save your Euros. - Unfortunately, there is no option to give zero stars. This was a total waste of money. You stand in 7 rooms and watch a silly movie. We decided not to waste our time in Bruges on this activity and kept moving quickly through the rooms by hitting the red buttons next to the doors to escape this boring attraction. This turned it more into a bit of a haunted house experience because the rooms were dark with the added scary fox and whorehouse experience thrown in for good measure. One of the rooms smelled like urine. We weren’t sure if that was supposed to be part of the experience since we stopped following the audio on the headphones. Either way, it was disgusting. Don’t go!
