Great tour, great host - We had a great time, learn a lot about Broome’s history. The tour was more comprehensive than we thought. Richie was a great host who has a wealth of knowledge, the snacks and the cold towers for a very hot day were very much appreciated, so understanding, we were looked after well. Thank you Richie

Best way to overview Broome as a shore tour - When you only have limited time, you don’t want to depend on 50 seater shuttle buses to ferry 2000 ship’s passengers from the port to town and back. Sherree picked us up on time right at the gangway in a comfortable air-conditioned 20 seater bus for our tour, which lasted about two and a half hours. Sherree is a very passionate and highly knowledgeable guide. Gantheaume Point was a highlight with its Osprey & nest, dinosaur footprints and the indigenous artists’ rock palette. The tour was, indeed, a real “pearla”!

Wonderful Broome overview - Do not miss the chance to take in Broome’s highlights with the knowledgable Sheree. She knows the special place like the back of her head and will take the time required to share it with you. Thank you for your generous nature and dearth information and thank you, too, to the delightful Jane . We’ll be back❣️

Surprisingly good. - Did the 2-3 hour broome tour … it was organised through the information centre prior to our cruise. Communication was excellent and pickup on time on the congested port pier.. Candy was a great guide and we hit all the top attractions in the town. It was an extremely hot day so we all appreciated the bottles of water and the cold towels and the snacks.. the bus was comfortable and air-conditioned. I appreciated that we didn’t stay too long at each stop, because we really needed to get back in that bus.. Phew. So hot. Actually, the town of Broom really surprised me. I expected a really old rundown place but it seems very modern and very very well maintained. The gardens are beautiful and the beaches are lovely and I was surprised at all the flowers in such a temperate place. . Very nice tour thanks again.

Excellent introduction to Broome, it’s history and culture. - I booked this tour for an introduction to Broome when I first arrived. It did not disappoint. The guide, Sherree, had a wide knowledge of her town and was passionate about it’s history and culture. She passed on a wide range of useful information which has greatly enhanced my stay. Excellent tour.

This trip was tailored to meet our interests. - The Broome and around bus tour made us realise there is a lot to see in this small town. Our guide, Sherree, obviously loves introducing visitors to her beloved Broome. She answered our many questions and even took photos for us. Thanks, Sherree for a most interesting morning. A brief but informative look around the area - This was a shore excursion where we were picked up from the cruise ship jetty, Broome & Around pay a fee to be allowed onto the jetty and we anticipated a bit of a fight to get off without a shuttle ticket but in the end it wasn’t an issue and we were soon on our way to our first stop which was a headland called Gantheaume Point. We were there for around 15 minutes and viewed some amazing-looking colours and rock formations. Our next stop was Cable Beach which again was a long stretch of white sands. We were given a quick talk about how the area evolved along with how it got it’s name which was after the telegraph cable laid between Broome and Java in 1889. The area was developed in the 1970’s by a British gentleman called Lord Robert McAlpine who recognised the potential of making it a tourist destination which is exactly what he did. There is a statue of him on the lawn in front of the beach in recognition of his services to the region. The next was a very quick stop to view a Japanese cemetery, they have their own graveyard because there was an influx of Japanese from the 1880s to the 1960s, seeking work in its pearl shell industry for which Broome is famous. One last stop at Town Beach before being dropped off at China Town in Broome. 2 ½ hours was just about right for this quick look at the region. We were dropped off in town to explore and made our way back to the ship using their shuttle. A great way to see the area with limited time at your disposal. We enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to others.
