Worth It - Highly recommend for you to take up this tour if you wish to see lions, wild dogs, hyenas, impalas, and many more amazing animals! My guide from MoAfrika (Guy Luaba) was definitely a great guide, very informative (ask him anything you wish to know more about Joburg), also a safe driver! :)

A great way to spend a half day in Johannesburg - This was a wonderful half-day trip. I went with my wife and our 8 year old son. Our driver (Mark) picked us up at our hotel at 8:00am and drove us to the park. He was friendly and knowledgable, we loved the opportunity to meet him and learn more about the city. When we arrived, we met with our guide, Bongah, who took us through the park on a large open air truck. She was funny and friendly and especially kind to our son. We loved meeting her as well. Key info: They drive you through Lion enclosures so you get very up-close to them. Very exciting, great photo ops, and it thrilled our son. We also saw cheetahs, leopards, wild dogs, and hyenas from outside of their enclosures through a fence. We saw giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and ostriches wandering in the open in the park. It is a park, not safari, so the animals live in enclosures and are fed and cared for by the park. This is in contrast to a safari (like Pilanesburg or Kruger) where you go on game drives to see wild animals in their natural habitats. After the tour we walked through the gift shop on our way out. It was a multi-room walkthrough with wildlife to see along the way. We found many items to bring home as gifts and remarked that the gift shop was exceptional compared to the many others we've seen on our travels. The two hour guided tour through the park flew by. We had a lot of fun and couldn't believe how fast it went. Mark dropped us off back at our hotel shortly after 1pm, so it was a true half-day trip and we had time to go out and about in the afternoon. If you are debating between this or a Safari at Pilanesburg, we felt the Safari was a more enriching experience for us, but our son preferred the park and it is a truly wonderful way to spend the morning. We are glad we did both and did not find them to be redundant experiences.

Interesting for children - Very interesting especially for children, you can see most animals, but it does not replace the real Safari experience
