Amazing and awe inspiring - This was the highlight of my trip! Never before have I seen koalas so close in their native habitat. There was a nursery with baby koalas that had only emerged from their mother’s pouches within the last week. There was an open area where we could interact with kangaroos and emu. There were also outstanding displays of other indigenous animals like Tasmanian devils, and a cassowary. This is basically a zoo of Australian animals. After seeing this place, we skipped the Taranga zoo in Sydney because we had already seen all of the local animals that we could not see at zoo at home.

Must-see attractions in case of a visit to Australia - Amazing place to see the koalas and walk among free-ranging kangaroos. The round trip boat tour on the river from Brisbane is a wonderful experience not to be missed.

Incredible adventure - Zoos and other animal cages aren't generally my cup of tea, but this one is spot on. You may engage with some of the animals, and they are playful and curious; it's basically a park where they walk freely in big complexes. While you enjoy your meal at the restaurant, the koalas are casually munching on some eucalyptus leaves.

Taking a walk on the wild side - Had a day in Brisbane and absolutely loved this visit. Booked the personal experience with the Koalas and got to meet a handsome Koala called Hamilton. Was a wonderful way to see some of the Australian wildlife I hadn’t been able to see and meet with the rangers to find out more about them.

Lots of animals to see!... - Lots of animals to see! The kangaroos are everywhere and it’s so cool to feed them. If you want a more close up view of the Koalas, make sure you book the experiences

Amazing! - I really, really love koalas. For years, I'd been watching Lone Pine's livestream of their koalas. It often kept me going. So it was a must-see when we were in Australia - in fact, we went specifically for my birthday. It was an easy drive from central Brisbane. We had the full koala tour, and it was really awesome. You get to go inside an enclosure, and get really close to the koalas, but also you learn a ton more than I was expecting. For example, at one point they hand out different eucalyptus varieties for you to smell. And at the end, we got to hold a koala, although I hear they've stopped doing that now. All the koalas though smelled like eucalyptus and were so, so soft! There are koalas everywhere in this sanctuary, and they're all fun to see. But there are other animals as well! We did a behind-the-scenes platypus tour. We got to see the oldest living platypus sleeping in his enclosure, and then we got to see the entire behind-the-scenes operation before getting to personally feed the younger platypus! There are also birds, bats, farm animals, wombats, and all kinds of other animals to see. The cafe has really solid food, and the gift shop is wonderful (lots of really unique pieces done by artists). I highly recommend staying for the end of the day. Koalas are nocturnal animals and really wake up around the end of the visiting hours!

Koala and Kangaroos - We had an amazing time first taking the cruise down the river learning about all of the cool things in the city of Brisbane. Then when we go to the Koala Sanctuary it was an amazing experience. All of the employees were super pleasant and talked with us and answered tons of questions. Feeding the kangaroos and the Wallabies was the highlight of the day. Seeing the Koalas all over the park was a close second. It was a tremendous experience.

Amazing experience - Arrived, easy to navigate the payment at front gate. Walked around at own pace which was very enjoyable. Then mum booked for koala experience 2.5 mins with koala on a tree 🤷‍♀️ lovely photos but didn’t get to hold koala. Me I booked the dingo experience, giving me 20mins one on one experience with handler and educator, I got to rub cuddle and have amazing photos with both dingos

Excellent visit and well looked after wildlife - This was a fantastic experience at the end of our holiday in Australia and quite possibly the highlight of the 4 week trip. The Koalas are very well looked after and the experience of meeting one up close was amazing. Also feeding the kangaroos was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The staff were excellent throughout the process from booking onwards helping to sort out a booking error that was entirely my fault. Top marks all round.

Wasn’t Able to Pet/Hold Koalas - Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary would definitely be better for little kids rather than people in their 20s. It was cool to see the few animals they had there and to pet and feed the kangaroos but that’s it. I feel like it was false advertisement because Lone Pine marketed it like you would be able to pet and hold a koala but that was not the case. Yes there were a lot of koalas there but there was no holding or touching at all. Also the entire facility itself reeked of weed and skunk cabbage and it was very sickening. We traveled so far to get to the Sanctuary for it to be quite a let down. It was more worth the money to just go to the Australia Zoo where you can actually pet a koala and see so many more animals too.
