Excellent visit and well looked after wildlife - This was a fantastic experience at the end of our holiday in Australia and quite possibly the highlight of the 4 week trip. The Koalas are very well looked after and the experience of meeting one up close was amazing. Also feeding the kangaroos was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The staff were excellent throughout the process from booking onwards helping to sort out a booking error that was entirely my fault. Top marks all round.

Perfect day in the middle of koalas - Just a perfect day in the middle of the Koalas. The place is superb and we feel that the animals are well treated. Outside of koalas, free-ranging kangaroos can be fed. To be done without a doubt.

Enjoyed the sanctuary and... - Enjoyed the sanctuary and feeding the kangaroos. Terrain a little steep at times for a wheelchair. Nice to see these animals being cared for so well

Lace - Very great and wonderfully run park. Where can you be closer to the cute koalas and at the same time feed kangaroos and look at the Australian animals?!? Our 3 year old was thrilled!

Koalas not included - Enjoyed looking at the animals, the sheep herding and bird and the dingo demonstrations and feeding the kangaroos. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Any encounters with koalas are not included in the price of admission. We were a little disappointed about that. The food and gift store items were reasonably priced.

100 KOALAS! - The best thing about the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is that there are SO many koalas, some of them are bound to be active. The raptor, sheepdog, and dingo talks were fun and informative. Getting to feed the wild lorikeets was one of the highlights of our entire trip. We had originally planned to go on a Thursday, but because of bad weather, we were able to transfer our tickets to Tuesday no problem.

Flooftastic! - I had a lovely half day between work commitments at the sanctuary. I’d assumed the koalas were all free range and might be difficult to see. But as they’re quite difficult to introduce to each other, they are in enclosures that means they get their own space in small groups or solo and still aren’t too bothered by people. And they’re so cute and floofy! I’m not a fan of petting wild creatures so like the fact you can’t hold them at the sanctuary, but you can get pretty close to them and you’ll get some great photos. The interactions with roos and wombats were a bit too hands on for me, with kids able to walk over to them while they’re relaxing and hug them, much to their parents’ delight. The animals didn’t seem to mind and maybe it’s great to create that bond and care for animals at a young age, it’s just not for me. So I’d recommend if you want to see some beautiful creatures. They all seem well cared for and I learned a lot!

Wasn’t Able to Pet/Hold Koalas - Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary would definitely be better for little kids rather than people in their 20s. It was cool to see the few animals they had there and to pet and feed the kangaroos but that’s it. I feel like it was false advertisement because Lone Pine marketed it like you would be able to pet and hold a koala but that was not the case. Yes there were a lot of koalas there but there was no holding or touching at all. Also the entire facility itself reeked of weed and skunk cabbage and it was very sickening. We traveled so far to get to the Sanctuary for it to be quite a let down. It was more worth the money to just go to the Australia Zoo where you can actually pet a koala and see so many more animals too.
