Well Organised Adventure Filled Day - I did this daytrip to Moreton Island on 5/8/25 and absolutely loved it. It was well organised, the guides (Jacob, Sam, and others whose names I’ve forgotten) were friendly and professional, and the activities were a lot of fun. Here's a detailed breakdown of the day: Pickup was from Roma Street coach terminal at 7am and was right on time (the company helpfully provided a photo guide to the meeting point). Check-in and payment of the National Park fee (an additional cost) were quick and easy—cash or card accepted. We then travelled by coach to the ferry terminal. The ferry ride was comfortable, with food and drinks available to purchase. Midway through the crossing, we experienced a 45-minute delay after the captain spotted suspicious debris and had to wait for Maritime Police from Brisbane to investigate. During the delay, the guides introduced themselves and explained the day’s plan. Thanks to their excellent organisation, we didn’t have to rush any activities once we arrived. There were about 25–30 people on the tour, split into two groups for the water-based activities. I’m a non-swimmer and started with snorkelling; others began with kayaking. For snorkelling, the guides fitted us with wetsuits, fins, masks, and life vests, gave a clear briefing, and towed us out to the 15 shipwrecks using a large flotation aid attached to a jetski. At the wrecks, they led us around, shared the history of the site, and pointed out the marine life that now call it home (I saw two wobbegong sharks). We had about 45 minutes in the water. As a non-swimmer, I really appreciated how safety-focused the guides were—Jacob regularly checked in with me, and two guides remained on jetskis nearby throughout. After that, we were towed back to shore and switched to kayaking. We received a short briefing, paired up (two per kayak), and paddled out to view the wrecks from another angle. The glass-bottom kayaks were a highlight—you could see fish swimming beneath you. Once again, the guides provided historical context, and we even got to feed the fish with tortillas 😊 We were on the water for about 30 minutes. Next was lunch: make-your-own tortilla wraps with plenty of fillings to choose from (chicken, beef, ham, cheese, onions, and more). After lunch, we drove across the island to the sand dunes and did some tobogganing down the very steep slopes—great fun! After that, it was time to head home, and we arrived back in Brisbane around 6pm. If you're in Brisbane and looking for a well-organised, adventure-filled day in a stunning location, I strongly recommend this trip.

Amazing service and staff - Absolutely the best trip to Moreton Island! The entire experience was unforgettable. The staff were amazing—super friendly, helpful, and made everything run smoothly. We loved the facilities and the range of activities. Kayaking through the crystal-clear waters, snorkeling around the wrecks, and sand boarding down the dunes were all incredible highlights. Highly recommend this adventure to anyone visiting Queensland!

We were unfortunately unable to conduct the sand boarding due to unforeseen mechanical failure of the truck as we drove through the island. The crew was still very professional and ensured we got back to the ferry on time despite the unfortunate mechanical issue.

A fantastic day. Moreton... - A fantastic day. Moreton Island is stunning. The sand boarding was great fun even though we ate quite a bit of sand! We loved the kayaking and snorkelling and seeing the different fish was wonderful, but swimming next to a turtle was an experience I will never forget. Many thanks go to our brilliant guides Ryan, Sammy, Josh, Darcy, Roman and John who made the day great fun and special.

- I prefer to do small group tours and there were 45 of us but we had such a fun day. All the staff were young and energetic which made the day excellent. Stand out people were Ryan and Sam. The Snorkelling was incredible with sea turtles swimming below us. Huge off road coach to get us over the island was decent too.

Moreton Island - Great experience. Get to try stuff I've never done before. Outstanding services and the view is remarkable. Love the snorkeling though a bit hard at first.

Not all as advertised - Canoeing and snorkelling were good. The drive into the island resulted in a burnt out clutch on the bus, followed by a crash into a tree shattering windows on the side of the replacement bus. We walked back to the ferry after that.

Too many people! - This could be an excellent trip, but the operator is obviously trying to make too much money and cramming as many people on the trip as possible. The snorkelling would be great as there are loads of fish, but we spent most of our time trying to avoid bumping into the other snorkellers instead of looking at the fish. The kayaking was similar. It’s a shame as the reps taking the trip are enthusiastic and good. However, particularly given how much it costs, the number of people spoils it unfortunately.
