Wow! - Wow! We visited on a Saturday and the timed entry tickets meant that it wasn’t too busy. The history of the building is so interesting and the information on the renovation and rehabilitation of animals is displayed really well. The development of the old dolphin pool to become their main tank is excellent. There is a wonderful variety of sea creatures, reptiles and insects with lots of information Staff are really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We watched the feeding in the main tank which had commentary There is a cafe inside serving drinks and snacks. Will be back again for sure

Must visit! - We had a great time at Brighton Aquarium! The best part was watching the sharks and turtles being fed, so make sure you get there before 11 am if you want to watch this. Ollie was a great presenter and shared loads of information during the feeding session. The ants were also a highlight, and thank you to the man who told us lots of information about these. Overall, we were there for about 2 hours and it was the highlight of our Brighton trip. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Brighton!

Magic - An extraordinary aquarium! The experience is magical, we really want to stay there for hours. The place is beautiful and peaceful. I had the chance to touch starfish and at the time of the rays. Virtual immersion tested and approved. I highly recommend it. A must-do!

Good aquarium with lovely Victorian architecture - Don’t understand why there are some negative reviews here, it’s a lovely aquarium. The original Victorian architecture is incredible, this is the oldest aquarium in the world. Plenty to see, we spent about an hour and a half there.

Loved the aquarium, strongly disliked the constant music. - We had a lovely time. The glass bottom boat was well worth the additional cost. The architecture of the aquarium added to the ambience. My children (11 & 7) loved the VR. The underwater tunnel was very fun. The only thing that spolit it was the constant music. It was set a volume that worked well outside, inside it was too much. We would have stayed longer had it not been so invasive. The shop was surprisingly good value and the photo ops were great also surprisingly good value.

Definitely not a ‘day out’ - We took our 3 year old nephew for a day out. I’m pleased we’re fairly local because we definitely couldn’t make a ‘day’ of it. We arrived literally just before 1.30pm and left by 2pm. Sure if you’ve got older kids or those that are really interested in ocean life and want to learn about all the different species it would definitely take longer. My nephew wanted to go from one tank to the next and there’s only so long you can hold a 3 year olds attention looking at the same fish swimming. They do have a wide variety of different sea life and the building is beautiful. The rainforest bit is done quite well but felt quite small, as did the bigger tank with the turtles and sharks in, plus you have to come in down the steps where the seating is and people had stopped at the bottom so it made it really slow and tricky to actually get onto the floor and be able to look in ourselves. What I was really disappointed in was the glass bottom boat being a significant amount of money on top of the entry ticket. For that reason we chose not to do it. Also the parking is a nightmare-to be fair I did know that before we arrived and it isn’t the Sealife centres fault, but it does make it tricky. We had to park a significant way away along Madeira Drive and walk in the drizzle, which, quite literally put a dampener on things. Overall fine for half an hour, but I wouldn’t choose to return.

Rip off artists - We went to take our 2 year old for her birthday and quickly regretted it. If you don't scroll down on the website to find combined adult and toddler tickets and just click the "book now" button you'll be hit with a charge of £19.50 per adult and a MASSIVE £16 for a 2 year old. Furthermore there's nowhere to add a promotional code that you may have at checkout. You have to scroll right to the bottom of the pack to find a redeem button before you've even looked at your tickets. The whole experience seems like a scam to drain you of as much cash as possible. Then when you get in there you're going to be hit with around £50 of extras if you want anything more than a 1 hour walk around. Terrible pricing, awful service, scam artists. If there was another way to visit an aquarium locally, I would advise it, but unfortunately these guys know they have the monopoly and can do what they want. My daughter did love seeing the aquatic life which is the only positive... but if times are hard, which I know they are for many, I'd consider finding another activity for the little ones
