Trip with wreck and turtles - We went (2 adults and 2 children) the last day before leaving. I booked the package at Harbour Lights with tours on Koopa Troopa : the place gave us 2 umbrellas and 4 sunbeds. Wonderful sea. Availability of bar, restaurant, spotless facilities and shower with changing cabins.
At exactly 10.30 a.m. we got the guide for the tour. First we saw the wreck with countless fish. Second, we stopped at another point and saw turtles, carp of 1.5 meters and rays. All circling around. Magic.
The equipment is all provided by them, they are very careful about safety.
Highly recommended!

Fun beach day! - We loved Harbor Lights, and I thought it was a great value for what we got. Snorkel was brief but fun, and we did actually see turtles! Beach was nice, and food and drink were good and reasonable.

A Day at Carlisle Bay - 02/20/25 - I went on my first solo trip last week to Barbados with one goal in mind, swimming with a turtle. After some research I decided to book my tour with the Koopa Troopa boat at the Harbour Lights Beach Club, and I couldn't be happier with this decision. The moment I arrived I was greeted with smiles, jokes, and laughter from the ladies at the front desk (unfortunately their names escape me). I was able to get on the 10:30 tour, the scenery when walking to the boat was absolutely beautiful, even though it was a slightly cloudy day! On my tour I saw a shipwreck, a turtle, many colourful fish, and even a stingray! The tour guides on board were extremely kind, and made it a fun experience for all ages! Whether he was shooting jokes with passengers, exhibiting patience with the kids, or generously offering a helping hand to those in need. Tyrese definitely enhanced my experience on the Koopa Troopa! Tyrese I had taken particular note of on my trip because he was quite a gentleman, and he was very attentive to me alongside everyone else on board. I don’t have much snorkelling experience, and after learning this Tyrese had offered to show me how. He went as far as getting in the water, and walking me through it to ensure I would be able to properly enjoy my time in the water. The food at the grill and drinks at the bar located in the main area of the beach club was quite good and filling. With friendly bar-tenders and beach staff I was able to enjoy several warm hours on a beachside lounge chair, listening to the waves with a pina-colada in hand. Bring yourself, bring the kids, bring a date, no matter the occasion or the people, this was a great place to have a beach day and explore some aquatic life in Barbados! 10/10 would recommend, I will definitely be back!

Wonderful experience!! - We had a fantastic day at Harbour Lights, Carlisle Bay with turtle trip. Easy to book, everything explained and brilliant service. Beds were comfy with umbrella. Bar staff taking drinks orders on the beach. Grill for food at lunchtime and great cocktails. The highlight of the day was the snorkelling over the ship wreck. The boat picks you up from the beach. Sun beds have your name on, so they will still be there when you get back. The wreck is not far off the beach and the water is so clear. Mask and snorkel provided and are good quality. We swam with a turtle quite a few sting rays and lots of colourful fish. It was a fantastic experience.

One of the best experiences of my life! - My friend and I went out on Koopa Troopa to see the sea turtles fish and shipwrecks on 7th Feb 2025.
I am not a confident swimmer and don't like to be in the sea out of my depth so I didn't expect to get in the water, just look from the boat.
Thierry (I think that's his name) was amazing. He gave me a life jacket and spent 45 minutes holding a buoyancy ring, floating with me in the sea. He helped me to put a mask on correctly so i could see the 3 shipwrecks, (about which he explained the history) all the beautiful tropical fish and then a big turtle came right by us and popped it's head out of the water.
We only saw one turtle but they are unpredictable and so that was fine. He kept dropping bits of fish to attract everything around us and make sure I saw them. I felt totally safe, and it was one of my best experiences I have ever had! It far exceeded my expectations and I can't thank Thierry enough for his kindness and patience.
I would thoroughly recommend.

The guides were great. I... - The guides were great. I lost my mask but the guy swam down and found it for me. The drinks and food on the beach are too expensive though, bring your own !

Great Day! - Booked a day at Harbour Lights on Carlisle Bay and it was a great day. Some of the sunbeds have seen better day but we swapped one over and it was OK. The beds are very close together and there was a smoker next to my husband which was very unpleasant. The beach itself is beautiful, although the surrounding area is not very scenic, the sea is really easy to get into and the water is crystal clear. We chose a day when there was only one cruise ship in but it was still busy, especially in comparison to the quieter beaches further up the west coast. We went on the 10.30 snorkelling tour and it was really good, the crew were excellent, very informative, we saw turtles, tarpins, trumpet fish, stingray, flying gurnards and puffer fish. We had a couple of cocktails on the beach and went up to the restaurant for lunch and it was very good.

Nice Time, but beware of timing to get there - I am giving this a 3 star, because we missed our allotted time. Other cruise travelers, please be aware that you need to leave the ship at the very least, 45 minutes before your scheduled excursion w/ Harbour Lights Chair & Turtle Snorkel Adventures. I messaged the tour operator the night before asking about their location, whether it was walkable or if we needed to take a taxi. They told me 25 min walk or 5-10 min taxi ride. So, we left 30 mins before based on that info and took the taxi, but we were 7 mins late. There is a very long three quarters of a mile walk just to get off the pier. While walking briskly and passing others, it still took 7 mins. Then, we waited while the taxi driver loaded his passengers. The ride to the venue was around 15 mins due to mild traffic. So, the timing was inaccurate. We did take the next boat time and we enjoyed it. We waited on the beach w/our reserved chairs and umbrellas (which was convenient) had a drink and some chicken fingers. They were so good! Then, the taxi bus ride back to the ship was uneventful. All in all, it was a decent and reasonably priced event. Just wanted to let others know about the timing issues.

Accumulation of curious tourists to observe one of the few remaining turtles attracted by the food - The beach is superb and the beachfront sunbeds with umbrellas are placed right in front of the beach. For the "turtle" outing, we get in a boat that moores after 300 m on the beach where other boats are already present and a manager throws small pieces of fish to bring THE turtle! We were 50 tourists congregated to try to see the only turtle that came, attract by food. Attracted by the pittance, you can observe other fish. The spot is overloaded! Tourist trap to see a turtle for a few seconds, if you are lucky enough to be well placed at the time of feeding. Pity.
