Highlights
  • Multnomah Falls - Fed by underground streams that originate miles above on Larch Mountain, this ancient 620 foot (189 m) waterfall is divided into two sections; the upper falls plummets an impressive 542 feet into a pool and again drops 69 feet to form a creek that runs into the Columbia River. Multnomah Falls is the second highest year-round waterfall in the United States and the highest in Oregon, and is Oregon’s number one natural attraction, drawing over 2.5 million visitors a year from around the world. At the base of the waterfall sits the Historic Multnomah Falls Lodge, a full-service day lodge complete with restaurant, gift shop, snack and espresso bar and interpretative center.

Mt Hood, falls, wine and fruit - Such a great way to explore the falls and Mt. Hood! Our driver was full of information and kept the drive interesting and fun. Multnomah Falls was indescribable! The scenery around our area was exquisite. We were given excellent recommendations for lunch and had time to walk around the town before heading to our next stop. Mt. Hood Winery was the perfect stop. The jams and peaches at Packer Orchards were very tasty. Love helping small businesses. Highly recommend this tour!

A MUST DO!!! - First time to Portland area and went back and forth between driving myself or taking the tour. Was a great decision. Would have NEVER covered the same ground or get all the insights of the region had we not done this. If you are a first timer, make the most of it and go on the tour. John was fantastic. Have been on many many tours in my travels and he ranked up as one of the very best guides. He provided an overwhelming amount of fun facts and history. I was amazed he kept it all in his head. Learned so much about the history of the area and all the fun facts that made me feel like a local. Only wish was it could be longer. Honestly as a piece of feedback, punt the winery and do another waterfall or fruit stand. Winery was fine but least interesting part of the trip.
