Great experience - It was great, so glad we went. Bioluminescence was beautiful and our guide Island was fun and personable. We almost canceled the tour after a long day of traveling and poor customer service with other companies, however, Island was so much fun and completely turned our night around. Went during a half moon night and was still able to see the bioluminescence, the clear kayaks made it super easy to spot!

Was fascinating to see the bioluminescence! - We had no idea this existed and it was a lot of fun. Our guide Drew was great, very friendly, very personable and VERY knowledgeable. We went on the late tour and so didn't see lots of wildlife, but the bioluminescence was excellent, around the boat, the oars, and under the boat. We also got to catch some glowing pseudo -jellyfish and that was fascinating. Plus it was nice to be on the water when it was so quiet. Would definitely recommend it.

Fabulous time - FABULOUS! Our guide, Island, was friendly and informative. I would recommend to anyone. The clear kayaks are not as monuverable as regular kayaks, but it's cool to see tge bioluminescent underneath.

Sparkling water and stars! - Our guides were kind and informative. The bioluminescence was very cool! I loved looking at it through the bottom of the clear kayak. The night was clear so the amount of stars we saw was as amazing as the bioluminescence. I will recommend and would love to do it again sometime.

Once in a lifetime experience - Great experience! We kayaked in August. Luckily we brought our bug spray. There were lots of mosquitoes near Mosquito Lagoon. But the experience of kayaking for two hours was awesome. We did get to see the dinophagellates And the jumping mullet had gotten into some of our kayaks. It was a great experience .Gabe was our guide and he was very energetic about the whole tour!

Great company but double check location with them directly. - Traveller advice, book direct or double/triple check your booking with the company.
We booked through Trip Advsior and the ticket gave the wrong location for the tour pick up.
Consequently we were in one place (in the middle of nowhere in the dark) and the tour was taking place 30-40mins away.
Had we booked direct then we would not have had this problem or missed out on what should have been an amazing trip.
Also because we booked via Trip Advisor we couldn’t go via the company to sort things out.
I don’t want anyone else to miss out so maybe just go to them direct.

Decent night kayak tour but would have liked a better night for bioluminescence and a more balanced kayak - We only saw “sparks” of bioluminescence but that’s no fault of the guide. But I feel my kayak wasn’t balanced properly as the bow popped up a lot and made it difficult to row straight. I was in a kayak of the same size as the tandems but I was rowing by myself in the back so maybe it needed weights in the front to balance or maybe a smaller center-seated kayak like the guide had would have been better. Despite this, the guide was knowledgeable and I’m glad he tethered my parents to his kayak since they were having trouble rowing in sync.

The bugs were out. - When we were on the water- it was great. But there were sand fleas and we ended up getting bit waiting in the guides to pass out paddles and give instructions. We had over 45 bites on our legs and itched for 8 days after the excursion. Make sure you wear long sleeve pants and shirts on the evening tours

Bugs, bioluminescence, but way more bugs - The internet did not quite prepare me for the tour so I thought I would highlight a few key points you should know for your experience.
1) They say don’t forget your bug spray, what they should say is don’t forget your full body armor to brace yourself for the Florida swamp. Whatever NASA mosquitoes live at this body of water are immune to all bug sprays. I seriously had less bumps on my skin when I had chicken pox as a child than I do now and I sprayed my whole body three times with two different types of bug spray. If I would have known I’d be this miserably itchy I wouldn’t have gone.
2) Literally this tour exists for the bio and if there is none then you quite literally float for an hour listening to the guide try (and low key kinda fail) to come up with interesting things to say. When is the bio best? When it’s dark and the water is warm and probably the week before or after you book this tour. We got to see it for two seconds and it was cool. The rest of the tour was…well beyond boring. We literally stayed in one spot for an hour…the only thing that made this worse was the guides constant reminders of how it sucked that night…like thank you for telling me what I could have seen and that now I have essentially wasted my money and time driving two hours for this.
3) You will be tandem. We payed to each be in our own kayak, this was not the case. They paired us and only one person got a solo kayak. However as a positive, the clear kayak is the way to go! The best view I got of the bio was under the clear kayak.
4) There is not a provided space for your stuff on the boat, so come prepared for that.
Overall it was cool to do. I wish we paddled more than we parked. Was seeing the bio for five seconds worth bracing the Florida swamp? Honestly, no. I’m happy to have contributed to eco tourism but I wish this tour had a plan B for what else to see. Don’t go on a full moon. I thought we would try to find places to see it better, we didn’t. In mid July the bio will not be bright enough to see. Be prepared for bugs. Take your iron supplements. I’m not kidding, the mosquitoes outnumber the dinoflagellates. Set yourself up for successes and lower your expectations.

Complete no-show - On the afternoon of our trip, were contacted to sign online waivers, which was no problem, and we later received acknowledgement that they'd been received. So we assumed all was set for the trip later that day!
In the evening, we turned up at the appointed time, and the specified place (in the middle of nowhere), but it was pitch black, with nobody around. We waited for 15 minutes, but having had no message or email either saying "Where are you?", (perhaps we'd gone to the wrong place), or "Sorry we're delayed" we gave up.
48 hours later have still heard nothing at all. Very unprofessional and very, very disappointing.
