Amazing - We traveled from Vienna to see the old town in Bratislava. The city tour was definitely worth it. Our guide showed us the hidden corners of Bratislava, and we also went to see the castle. Highly recommended!

Brataslava a Must!!! - Jacob (James) did an amazing job sharing the history of Bratislava and Slovakia !!! He answered all our questions with enthusiasm and we appreciated his passion for the history of his country! From one side of the river learning about its history to the other side discovering the cultural influences about the regions.

Great walking tour - My guide Jarka was great. She took me all around the city center. She was very knowledgeable and gave me tons of information and great recommendations.

Learned a lot in a short amount of time - Jarka was great! We learned so much in a short amount of time and she showed us all around Bratislava. She had great knowledge as she has lived in the city for years. Very fun. She also was kind and took a lot of family pics along the way.

Great historical overview - Our guide was very nice, and gave us lots of information about the history of Slovakia as well as some local tips about where to eat, Slovakian foods, etc. Spent the time in the charming old town (did not go up to the castle).

Lacking content, knowledge and enthusiasm - We had a very friendly guide, but I'm not sure he had ever been one before. As a result we found the tour itself very underwhelming. We covered off a number of historic statues and sites (blue church, castle, various monuments etc) but our guide was regularly referring back to his notes and / or Google which didn't instill confidence. There was also very little engagement inbetween the places we visited - we are used to tour guides who talk passionately about 'their city' and its history, culture, people etc and constantly point things out. We didn't get much of this at all and it felt more like a tick-box exercise covering a fixed list of places, and anything not on this list was ignored. When we passed a building or statue and asked about it, the result was often more googling or just 'I don't know'.
