This area, spanning 24 km, was renamed Sinaia in 1874 at the king’s behest. The following year, the first Boeresti houses were erected in the village center, and in 1876, the construction of the Ploiești - Predeal railway, which passes through Sinaia, commenced. Simultaneously, between 1873 and 1875, the foundation of Peleș Castle was laid. The foundation stone ceremony took place in a grand setting on August 10/22, 1875.

Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle) - Originally, Bran Castle, meaning “gate” in Slavic, was a fortress known as Dietrichstein, built by the Teutonic Knights in 1212 and later seized by the Saxons towards the late 13th century.
The first documented mention dates back to 1377 when the people of Brașov were granted permission by Louis I d’Anjou to construct the fortress on the site of the former stronghold. Between 1419-1424, it came under Sigismund’s control.
By the late 15th century, it was under the jurisdiction of the Szekler committee and, during Iancu de Hunedoara’s rule, it fell under the leadership of the Transylvanian Voivodeship.

- Rasnov Citadel: Garden and Panoramic View - Rasnov Fortress, one of the best-preserved peasant fortresses in Transylvania, was built by the residents of Rasnov, possibly with assistance from Cristian and Vulcan, to defend against frequent Turkish and Tatar invasions in the 13th and 14th centuries. Constructed by local peasants, the fortress lacks a defined architectural style, with the primary focus being on making it difficult to conquer. It was built using stone and brick on a rocky hill near the city. The walls follow an irregular path, reaching heights of up to 5 meters and widths of 1.5 meters. The fortress towers and walls were covered with tiles to prevent fires set by attackers.
The fortress features two courtyards: an outer one housing a square tower known as the Old Tower, where animals were kept, and an inner one.
