The Ciucas Mountain tour immerses you within the captivating rock formations and a serene journey showcasing spectacular views. This day trip is intended to expose you to some of the region’s most stunning mountainous terrains. Each mountain encompasses several hiking avenues suitable for varied levels of proficiency; whether it’s easy, medium, or difficult hikes. You should anticipate a minimum of 4-5 hours for the day’s hike, which can be extended to 8-10 hours depending on the chosen private departure option on a lengthier route. Your guide will discuss all alternatives with you before departure to choose the best route.

We kickstart the hike from a high elevation point, adjacent to a road that crosses at 1135m altitude. The trail will lead us to the summit, ambling alongside the ridge line. A hike in June unveils slopes blanketed with Rhododendron - a strikingly beautiful red flower. Close to the peak, fascinating rock formations await that will thrill our senses. The final climb will take us to the main Ciucas Peak, succeeded by a descent on the opposite side leading to Cabana Ciucas. The perfect spot for a revitalizing drink before we embark on our return hike.
