We provide several hiking paths catering to all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Plan to devote a minimum of 4-5 hours for the hike but you can opt for a longer 8-10 hour journey with private departure on an elongated track. The guide will discuss all available choices before we set off and make the best route decision accordingly.
The Fagaras Mountain - despite a slightly extensive transfer required, we typically advocate for a day’s trek starting with the Transfagarasan Highway leading us to the Balea Lake situated at an altitude of 2035m. Several more routes are available around the glacier lake offering awe-inspiring vistas. You could even venture a little along the principal ridge with an optional detour leading to a peak exceeding the height of 2500m. On a bright day, one can spot the Moldoveanu Peak, famously known as Romania’s rooftop at an altitude of 2544m. We can also marvel at the Fagaras main ridge stretching non-stop over 60km along the southern Transylvanian border.
