Wonderful! - The guys were great! Very talented family. Harmonies were spot on! The audience interaction was very funny. One tried to hit on my 92 year old mother in law, LOL! Thank you guys!

Never meet your heroes... - Although we were fully impressed by the vocal performances in the show of Six, we had a couple of experiences that were disappointing. The show itself was close to perfection. I am a professional musician and fully appreciated the fact that they could sing so many songs (Beach Boys, Backstreet Boys, Beatles) while keeping difficult and complex harmonies perfectly in tune. Their choice of songs was excellent and perfectly planned to keep a diverse audience engaged. They had a very entertaining segment where they did all the foley (sound effects) for movies. Original and fun! I give a lot of credit to their sound engineer (very nice guy!) who was able to perfectly adjust equalizations and reverbs when another singer would take the bass part of the drums. The person running graphics and lights was flawless. But we did have disappointments during and after the show. During the show, there were a few times in which the audience did not react to the planned jokes. Instead of quickly moving forward to not create an awkward silence, there were a few passive/aggressive comments from the performer as if it were OUR fault that the joke didn’t land. After the show, we were also disappointed. We were excited to meet them having felt such admiration for their craft. Although 3 or them were warm and friendly, the other guys lacked humility. They acted like they didn’t want to be there and they were doing us a favor by shaking our hand. It seems like they forgot that no matter how many times they have done their show, their audience still deserves their respect and gratitude. So, yes, we definitely recommend seeing the show, but don’t pay the the $25.00 for the photo and the meet and greet. They say never meet your heroes and sometimes there’s a reason for it…

No Harmony Here! - Here’s what we heard from an a cappella sextet: Six mediocre soloists taking turns, with three voices singing an “ooo” on a chord, which chord was completely obliterated by a way too loud vocal percussionist and way too loud bass. It was harmony singing at its worst. It might have been their first night back from a long winter break, but it was a totally uninspired performance vocally, with meaningless choreography. The emcee comments were often ad libbed and unprofessional. It was a wasted evening for us. AND if you expected harmony singing from the an a cappella group, you would have been very disappointed. If you want tight harmony singing, go to the Haygoods.

SIX Christmas Show - The show had not excitement, most songs weren’t popular. The brother that be bopped the whole time was so loud that there were many times we couldn’t hear words to the songs at all. Kevin has a lovely voice and should take it elsewhere, Jac as well. Good luck.
