The tour kicks off at 8:30 AM in a Toyota 4x4, embarking on a one-hour off-road journey to reach the initial lagoons of Lençóis Maranhenses. The first destination is the breathtaking Lagoa do Gavião. Following this, the tour proceeds towards the open sea and the village of Canto do Atins, known for the famous eateries of Mr. Antônio, Mrs. Luzia, and Carminha (Ponta do Mangue), celebrated for their mouthwatering grilled shrimp, fish, and sun-dried meat. After enjoying lunch, the tour continues to the village of Atins to witness the stunning confluence of the Preguiças River and the sea. On the return journey, more of the region’s iconic lagoons are explored, including Lagoa das Sete Mulheres, Lagoa Tropical, Lagoa do Kaite, among others. The return from Atins is around 4:00 PM, with an expected arrival back in the city by 5:30 PM.
