Ait Ben Haddou - Once across the Atlas Mountains, the next stop is AĂ¯t Benhaddou Kasbah, one of Morocco’s most impressive fortified cities and a famous filming location for movies like Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Kingdom of Heaven.
Skoura - The journey continues along the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs to Skoura, where there will be a stop to explore the Amridil Kasbah.
El Kelaa M’gouna - Kelaat M’Gouna, a charming city in Tinghir Province and the capital of the Valley of the Roses.
Dades Gorges - The first day concludes with a drive to the Dadès Gorges, where the night will be spent.
Dadès Gorges - Todgha Gorges - Merzouga
Dades Gorges - After breakfast, the journey continues towards the Dadès Valley, passing through the incredible Todgha Gorges, where lunch will be enjoyed.
Merzouga - With renewed energy, the journey proceeds towards Merzouga, passing through the Jorf palm grove, known for its excellent dates, and Erfoud, famous for its fascinating fossil fragments.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, the 4x4s will be exchanged for camels to venture into the desert and head to a Bedouin camp for an overnight stay and a traditional Moroccan dinner.
Merzouga - Rissani-Alnif-Tazarine - Tizi N’Tfrkhin - Ouarzazate
Ouarzazate - The third day begins with the magical experience of watching the sunrise over the desert. After an early start, the journey continues on camels to a hotel for a shower and breakfast (depending on the camp, this may occur before the camel ride).
The return to Ouarzazate will follow a different route.
Rissani - Passing through the Tafilalet Palm Grove and the village of Rissani, the ancient capital and birthplace of the founder of the Alaouite Dynasty, the journey reaches the town of Alnif.
Alnif - Here, the road cuts across the stunning Anti-Atlas mountain range.
El Kelaa M’gouna - After admiring the spectacular colors and shapes of the mountains, the journey arrives at Tizi N’tfarkhin, Tinghir, and a beautiful palm grove in the Dadès Valley. Lunchtime will be spent at Klaat M’Gouna for a meal and rest before continuing.
In the afternoon, the journey crosses the High Atlas mountains on the way to Ouarzazate, where the night will be spent in a riad or a kasbah.
Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Ouarzazate - After a delightful breakfast, there will be time to explore Ouarzazate at leisure. A visit to the Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas Film Studios, known as the Hollywood of the desert, is recommended.
The journey concludes with a return to Marrakech in the early afternoon.
