Don't pass by this tour! An excellent night in Cairo 😀 - This was one of the BEST tours I've taken, ever! As a solo traveller, I don't often get to tour cities at night. This was such a great opportunity to experience downtown Cairo after night PLUS learn about the food culture of Egypt. And it was all possible because of a fantastic guide, Peter, and excellent driver Mustafa. Professional, fun, and knowledgeable, they made this experience one to remember. Don't miss out on this amazing experience - truly an unusual thing to do in Cairo!

a must-do tour!!! - This was such a fun way to end our trip to Cairo! Seeing the city at night and getting a truly authentic experience of the food and culture was so special. Manar was so fun, and made us feel like we were her long lost friends. We tasted SO much incredible food, and the market at night was an experience I’ll never forget. We felt like locals by the end of the tour because of how warm and welcoming everyone was. Thank you Manar for an amazing night that we will never forget!!

Our walking tour with... - Our walking tour with Ayoub was amazing! He gave us options on how we wanted to spend our time, and was knowledgeable about all we did. Our walking tour through Old Cairo was so interesting and the architecture was beautiful. Then trying all the local street food was terrific. He contributed greatly to our overall experience on the tour.

Delicious way to enjoy old Cairo - Delicious evening tour of old Cairo. Daytime might have been even better if able to get into the gorgeous buildings of this area. Mina took wonderful care of us, bringing us to just the right spots, tailoring the trip to our family's requests, taking great care of us in busy Cairo, and feeling us too well -- we were stuffed! Bring your appetite on this wonderful tour, thanks, Mina!

Always a great way to start an adventure! - Our family loves getting introduced to a new place through a food tour! The tours are even better when you get a great guide like Peter who is both personable and knowledgeable! We were picked up on time in an air conditioned vehicle. The driver expertly navigated the city and we had pleasant surprises like the boat ride and the tour of the Islamic area of Cairo and Khan el Khalli market. After a little sight seeing, we got to experience both AMAZING food and the energy of the city!! Plus, it was wonderful to see the pride Peter had in his city; it made us fall in love with it as well!!

A relaxing way to watch the sunset on the Nile. - Really enjoyed this tour with our knowledgeable guide Mina. We did a sunset feluca ride on the Nile and it was amazing. A relaxing way to enjoy the peace of the Nile while watching the sunset. Mina also gave lots of information and you can see his passion and love for his country Egypt . He is also great at taking the perfect pictures at the right angles 😅 It was a great way to end our trip. Highly recommend

Cairo by Night: Less About the City, More About the Legend Named Peter (aka Sasa) - So, I did this 'Walks Of Cairo Night Excursion With Food & walking Tour' thing, right? Cairo at night – sounds kinda mysterious, maybe a little spooky. But then I met Peter/Sasa. Forget the ancient pyramids for a sec, this guy is a modern marvel! This tour involves food, Sailing the Nile and walking. Honestly, the specifics are a bit of a blur because Peter was such a whirlwind of awesome. He's this "real energetic young man" – and that's putting it mildly. I'm pretty sure he runs on pure enthusiasm and maybe a little bit of that amazing Egyptian coffee. Now, I like to think I know a thing or two about eating, but Peter? This dude has a PhD in "Local Eating Habits". We weren't just tasting food; we were going on a culinary comedy tour. He'd tell us these hilarious stories about the dishes, the ingredients, and probably his grandma's secret recipes (though he never actually shared those, the tease!). We hit up some non-touristy food spots, which was a major win. Think less fancy restaurants, more "this is where the locals get their grub and it's gonna blow your mind" kind of places. We might have tried "koshary" (rice, noodles, the works!), maybe some "shawerma" and "falafel" too . Honestly, with Peter's energy, it all just tasted like pure joy.   And the walking part? Well, we walked. Through downtown, even taking a sailing boat along the Nile. We even braved the craziness of old Islamic Cairo and the Khan El-Khalili Market . Now, usually, markets like that are my version of a stress test. But Peter? He's like the Indiana Jones of haggling. He'd swoop in, crack a joke in Arabic (probably), and suddenly we were getting prices that would make a pharaoh jealous. He even took us to some ancient mosque and a super old cafe for tea . Honestly, I was too busy laughing at his stories to keep track of all the historical stuff, but it sounded cool!   The best part? This tour was "flexible". Which, in Peter-speak, meant "let's go with the flow and have a blast!" If we wanted to stop and stare at a particularly bewildered-looking cat, we did. If someone needed a bathroom break, no problem. It was like hanging out with a super-knowledgeable, super-funny friend who just happened to know all the best food spots in Cairo. Seriously, this wasn't just a tour; it was an experience, mostly thanks to Peter's "bright character". He turned Cairo by night into a "wonderful and a never to forget experience". If you're looking for a guide who knows his stuff but doesn't take himself too seriously, Peter/Sasa is your guy. Just be prepared to laugh until your sides hurt and eat more delicious food than you thought humanly possible. Oh, and apparently, the official name is 'Walks Of Cairo Night Excursion With Food & walking Tour' by Egypt Tours Destination . They got at least one thing right – their guide, Peter, is a legend.   So, pro tip: book the tour, ask for Peter, and maybe wear stretchy pants. You'll thank me later.
