The guide was very... - The guide was very knowledgeable. The price does seem steep to me. The Witch Trial was interesting. I think maybe the actual area where they were hanged should be on the tour.

lots of fun in Witch City! - Though the heat was unbearable, we made the most of it! Our guide, Guido, was a lot of fun and a wealth of information. Taking the train to and from Salem was really easy and very comfortable - trains were clean and not crowded. The best part is that when the tour ends, you can stay in Salem and come back when you'd like. The train ticket is good for the rest of the day! Highly recommend for a day away from Boston.

Nice Quick Salem Trip - It was a nice quick trip to Salem. It hits the high points of Salem’s witch history and then we were able to explore the town on our own. Our guide also incorporated some Revolutionary War history since my son is interested in this time period.

Absolutely fantastic - We took the tour with Elizabeth and it was fantastic. She was ready and waiting for us in the prescribed place and you could tell she was truly excited to be leading us for the tour. On the tour she was extremely informative, often adding little tidbits of information. She was very cognizant where we stopped and rested to stay out of the sun. After the tour we ran into her again on the train ride back to Boston. She recognized us and sat with us telling us more great information on what to see in the Boston area.

Great experience!! - The whole thing was awesome. Our guide Elizabeth was super welcoming and very very knowledgeable. She makes sure everyone has a great time and gets to soak it all in. It is a lot of walking if you have any impairments.

Good tour despite MTA mixup - The tour was very solid and Stephanie was knowledgable, charismatic and fun. She also did a good job of keeping us in the shade as much as possible on a brutally hot day. The witch museum show was really pretty good, too. I wish we had planned more time to tool around in Salem after the tour. Heads up - meeting at North Station and getting on the commuter train proved an adventure because an MTA worker, not someone affiliated with the tour group, rushed us onto a train and told us we had 1 minute to get on or we’d be left behind. Several in our group rushed to board even without our guide because the MTA worker was so adamant. Turns out we should’ve just listened to the tour employee at the North Station, and we didn’t have tickets (Viator gives them to you at North Station) when we sprinted onto train. MTA didn’t care, though, and we just wound up arriving earlier than others. It was MTA’s fault, not Viator’s.

Underwhelming - The info mentioned that the experience began at 9:15 and we were to arrive 30 min early. We arrived at 8:40 and couldn’t find the meeting place and no one inside the terminal had any idea what we were talking about. We finally found them outside the terminal near the snack shop. The train didn’t leave until 9:35, so we just had to hang out in the station. Unnecessary to be there that early. The tour was fair at best with very little about the witch trials and much more random history, opinion, and anecdotal information. We were told a lot about the ghost tour/happenings in Salem. Be prepared to walk/stand for 2 hrs. Since it was a Friday the Witch Museum was not open, but we could tour the Pirate Museum on our own after the tour. At the end of the tour we were at least a mile from the station and with no definite info on returning trains or how to get back. We were told about the guides favorite restaurants and places to shop. We weren’t told that the name Old Glory was given to the US flag in Salem in 1824 even though we passed right by the spot where it happened. The guide was unaware of this piece of history. Salem is a charming town with a wonderful pedestrian street, but is very commercial with all of the witch and Halloween themed shops. Not our favorite tour.

Good, not great - I definitely gained a lot of knowledge about the history of Salem, but I would have liked it to be shorter so I could explore on my own more before I got so burnt out I was ready to go back to Boston.

- There was an accid ent on the highway on our way in the morning so we stayed caught in Traffic and missed the train... We received no refund EN and no other option as compensation so in short $900 in garbage because of an access DE nt on the highway out of our control It was the DE last time in my life that I booked an EN activity
