The Freedom Trail Tour with Charlie Shea! - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an excellent Freedom Trail tour last Thursday with our guide, Charlie Shea. His knowledge of Boston’s history was impressive, but what made the experience stand out was his unique perspective and storytelling style. Charlie brought each stop to life with poignant stories about Boston that had a rich, layered history, particularly in the Blackstone Block Historic District. At Carmen Park and Paul Revere Mall, he helped me picture what the city would have felt like centuries ago, and in Paul Revere Square, he shared details I hadn’t heard on other tours. The tour was informative, engaging, and well-paced. If you’re looking for a way to experience the Freedom Trail that goes beyond the standard script, I highly recommend joining a tour with Charlie - he's unforgettable:)

Good way to learn about food options - Many years ago, my husband and I were in Boston and walked the Freedom trail on our own. We chose this tour because we thought learning more about the food would be interesting. The tour started too early to enjoy New England clam chowder at the Boston Public Market, but we did anyway. The walk through the Halocaust memorial park and around the adjacent quaint old buildings should come first. While we realize that purchasing food is optional, the tour design is incompatible with enjoying food. To try and eat a cannoli and walk the fast pace Paul set was impossible. At least we sat for a few minutes while we enhaled our delicious Italian sandwich. No one else in the group bought one, making us feel awkward. Paul is funny, but he doesn't have a good sense of speaking to a group. I had to ask him to stop talking and wait for my husband and others to sit down before he started his lecture at the table in the Public Market. We've been on numerous longer food tours that were more pleasant because our stops were prearranged with the restaurant or shop.

FBest pizza from tour - Just wasn’t as I expected it to be but I did enjoy the food tasting and singing bowls ( glass harmonica). But was still enjoyable nonetheless and the weather was a plus.
