Learn about the fight for women’s vote in Boston - Our guide was so knowledgeable and loved questions. Maura told us and showed us about Boston’s women’s suffragist movement. Loved seeing buildings we have walked by numerous times in a different light as important to the fight for the vote. This is a must do for young people as well.

Our guide brought history to life - This is a must for anyone who wants to learn the history of the revolutions started in Boston. Town tours are my favorite way to absorb an immense amount of history. This tour exceeded our hopes. We heard spectacular stories of women's suffrage, walked past their houses, social clubs, and Women's Journal helping them to spread the word internationally. Over 50 years, these women continued to march for democracy for themselves, their daughters, and the daughters of women they didn't know. Our incredibly fun and knowledgeable guide shared their struggles as they each brought a unique perspective to the fight. One of my favorite elements is the reality that these women lived directly across from and next to the optician. Sure, it could get heated, but they also voiced their differences in a manner that allowed them to still socialize amongst each other. Of course, Susan B Anthony was talked about, but so were Lucy Stone, so many others. The combination of overlapping revolutions with the American, Suffrage, and Abolition in Boston played a significant role in the change for Americans. The tour ends with an encouraging message to keep up the fight for all people's equality. 😍 🇺🇲

Fabulous BackBay Tour! - Being we enjoyed the Freedom Trail tour so much, we decided to journey with HubTown once again and dip our toes into BackBay. The tour was well-paced, and we had a wonderful explanation by our tour guide Cal, who weaved the amazing story of Women and their fight for Suffrage. The stops along the way gave us just enough history to appreciate the timeline of how events were unfolding, and we had a chance to gawk at the beautiful homes and gardens too. If you’re a history lover, or just curious, I would recommend this tour with Cal whose passion and knowledge were impressive! We left Boston feeling a little more connected to this beautiful city. We will definitely be back!

Great overall and unexpectedly informative - Great Tour. Kaitlin was our guide, she was a great guide. Tour was informative, a lot of facts and history that we never even thought of that we are glad we learned. For sure an interesting alternative to the more 'traditional' Boston tours, plus you get to see a lot of other neighborhoods other than downtown and the north end. Again, we would highly recommend this tour, it was fun and informative.

Excellent Women's History Tour of Boston - We greatly enjoyed this tour involving women's history in Boston. Our tour guide, Leah, was extremely knowledgable. There wasn't a question that you could ask that she didn't have an answer to. Her talks were engaging and funny, and we loved that she included many of the lesser known names of the times, as well as facts about better-known women that we just didn't learn in our history books. We loved how the stops were both places large and small, and it is always neat to find out that some nondescript spot or building was the birthplace of such important parts of history. Thank you to Hub Town Tours for specifically developing a tour about women's history as well. I hope to see more of these types of tours in the future. We will definitely consider booking one of their other tours next time we are in Boston (hopefully with Leah).

Best Back Bay Tour! - Sarah was a fantastic guide! She knew the history very well and navigated and explained the historical timelines with perfection. She even made it feel like we were a part of the Victory Parade as we followed the route and got a sense of the time period and the atmosphere of so much resistance as well. If you’re in Boston and don’t take this tour you’re missing out!

Don't miss this tour when you are in Boston! - If you are traveling to Boston, the Back Bay Tour of Women's Rights is one you don't want to miss. We had previously done the Freedom Trail Tour with Hub Town Tours and loved it. We decided to book their new Back Bay Tour and weren't disappointed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! It gave us a deep dive into the history of women's right to vote while walking through the beautiful Bay Bay. Our guide, Sarah, was fantastic! She has a gift of telling the background history of these women you've never been taught and bringing them to life. We traveled back in time to how these individual women fought for the rights we have today. And I was amazed that not all women shared the same ideas while co-existing across the street from one another. She tied in these women's experiences to what we are seeing today. I left with a huge appreciation of the sacrifices these women made so I have the right to vote.
