Hop on Hop off - What a great experience on the Old Town Trolley tour of Boston! When you want to pack the most sights in a day, this is the tour to take. See as much or as little as you want. Work on your own timeline. All drivers were amazing, give a real personalized tour. A must see!

Good time in rain or shine - Great experience! Weather was chilly and rainy and traveling in the city on the trolley was very comfortable. Excellent way to get a feel for the city and learn the history. Wait times were short even in their slower season with less trolleys on the road. Highly recommend!

Not worth it on this particular day - The concept is great, but the wait time at the stops were way too long. My 71 yr old mother and I walked more than we rode. At one point we got off because they made us change trolleys but there was a trolley not working properly so the folks on that trolley were getting on the one we were getting on. So instead of waiting an hour we had to walk. We only rode 3 trolleys for the day. $52 per person is a little expensive for 3 rides. On a good note the drivers were good and entertaining.

Too much traffic and construction in Boston ruined the trip - The bus driver was very nice and very informative, but Boston is a total mess right now. It is really way too expensive. A bus ride in order to sit in that much traffic. I can’t believe the amount of construction. Tourist would do well to avoid going to Boston in May.

Don’t recommend - Disappointingly average- lots of bus changes and waiting - 3 so far and we are only half way through. Wouldn’t do it again

SIT and WAIT - Wait times are incredibly long and pickup points are not marked! We waited at our original spot for 55 minutes. We got off at North End for lunch. After wandering around for an hour, we finally found our next pickup point to only sit and wait for over 30 minutes for a trolley! We spent more time waiting than we did enjoying the tour!

Unfrienly and Careless guys working in Turism - I did not like the experience because I encountered two unfriendly individuals. First, the driver—Not only was I confused, but others were as well. However, he became impatient and started yelling at me instead of explaining the situation, showing a complete lack of respect and treating me as if I were stupid. The map indicated that we needed to be at stop 7 to transfer to another bus, but he dropped us off at stop 6 instead. Rather than clarifying why the map information differed from what he was telling us, he chose to start yelling. (This was an old, tall white man, short white beard) Second, while waiting in line, I wanted to check if there was an available seat on the bus since I was traveling alone and had limited time. I approached the bus driver to ask, and a staff member immediately treated me rudely, assuming I was trying to cut in line. I told him, 'I am just asking if there is an available seat.' He dismissively replied, 'The driver knows, he would say.' When the bus left, I saw that there had indeed been an open seat, making me feel that he simply didn’t care and showed no respect for tourists' time. People working in customer-facing roles in this industry should treat customers with professionalism and respect—they do not deserve these positions if they cannot do so.

Read the fine print or not so fine print - It is not statwd anywhere, but be aware that they only pick up on the half hour only. It should be stated in the brochures so you know when purchasing before you go.

Too full - Can't get back on - Once you get off, you are lucky if you can get back on. Three of us purchased tickets for the day. Got on at the aquarium. Got off at the USS Constitution. Stand in line. We are told the bus was full. I was told by several folks there they had been told the previous bus was full. Finally got on a bus. It was full. I took the last seat available. It started to rain. Reached the next stop. The folks standing outside had been waiting for over an hour (because the previous two buses were full) to get on a bus. They of course couldn't get on the bus. We wanted to get off at Cheers, but didn't because we didn't know if we would get back on (we were texting each other because we were all sitting in different areas of the bus). We got off at the last stop. Didn't try to get back on to take us back to the aquarium and just walked back. The other hop on hop off buses may not have had so many stops (I don't know, didn't look at their maps), but they were not so full that people couldn't get on and off again. Why would a company continue to sell tickets when they are overbooked? If you can't get another driver, fine. Stop selling tickets.

I regret choosing this tour and it did not meet my expectations. The only good thing I can say is that it drove the route I want - I was very disappointed in the hop-on hop off trolley tour in Boston. With three different drivers, I found all of them poorly trained, spending little time on the historical context of the sites we were seeing, and complaining about the company, their assignment, traffic, or popular culture. I learned very little on this tour about the American Revolution.
