Embark on a cruise around Boston Harbor aboard the classic 1920s-style Yacht Northern Lights. Enjoy the comfort of the indoor grand salon or head to the top outdoor deck for expansive views of the Harbor. Noteworthy sights include stunning views of Boston’s skyline, Old North Church, Bunker Hill Monument, USS Cassin Young, and the USS Constitution, as well as Boston’s Harbor Islands. Don’t forget your camera! Refreshments and light snacks are available for purchase at the bar with a credit card.
- Plan to arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the departure time to check-in at the ticket booth and obtain boarding passes
- Bring a photo ID that matches the name listed on the reservation
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Minimum drinking age is 21 years

- There is a climate controlled main cabin with seating, a covered upper deck and an open bow

The boat departs from Rowes Wharf, directly behind the Boston Harbor Hotel, located at (for GPS) 400 Atlantic Avenue, Boston (02110). Check-in at Rowes Wharf is located in the Ferry Terminal, a climate controlled public space, located on the wharf only steps away from our dock. If guests are lost or running late, please call us at 617-951-2460.

Warm relaxing cruise on a cold windy day - We went on a cold windy day and the cabin was pleasantly warm, but not over heated. Never went to the open air top of boat but it’s an option. Nice wooden tables and cozy feel even though it’s a big space. Great crew and the light narration was the perfect amount to learn a little but lots of time to enjoy conversation. Price seemed fair for 90 min cruise.

Overall a lovely... - Overall a lovely experience. Friendly staff, plenty of seating area to the right of check in spot while waiting for the checking time. Lots of cool fun facts during ride and lots of seating options. I sat inside and stood outside. It was 30ish degrees so not many people were outside.
Views were really pretty. Enjoyed watching the planes fly over us every few minutes. Plenty of charging ports inside and cool that there were restrooms onboard.
Be mindful that the ticket that is added to your Apple Wallet is not used for check in. You have to enter the building where you purchase tickets, they’ll ask you for your name and give you a physical ticket that you hand over at the check in gate. I was not aware of this, but it was not far away so I didn’t miss the check in window.
For my first trip to Boston, this was definitely a core memory.

Excellent - This Harbor tour was so relaxing and informative. I guess it's the size of the boat but it just glided on the water effortlessly. The Captain was great and narrated the tour very well. They have everything you could want on the boat to eat or drink. I highly recommend and would do it again.
