• Ytri Tunga Beach - Ytri Tunga is a beach located by a farm of the same name on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Unlike many Icelandic beaches, Ytri Tunga features golden sand instead of black.
• Budakirkja - The Búðakirkja Church is a quaint wooden church situated on the southern shore of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, where road 54 veers from the sea towards the mountains. A low-set metal stair follows the path to the top, made of modules three meters long and 1.5 meters wide, each with seven treads between solid stingers with open risers. The units connect like a necklace on the slope. The stairs received the Rosa Barba International Landscape Prize 2018, marking the fourth award for the project since 2017.
• Djupalonssandur Beach - Djúpalónssandur, also known as the Black Lava Pearl Beach, is a stunning destination, much like many other sights on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Visiting it feels like stepping into a lava wonderland.
