Discover the diverse flavors of Saint-Emilion on this 5 hour and 30 min-small-group food and wine tour from Bordeaux. Explore the medieval streets of Saint-Emilion with your guide and gain insight into centuries of colorful French history. Visit wineries and cellars throughout the area, and sample wines made from grapes such as merlot and cabernet franc. Compare local wines with those from across the world at a Grand Cru winery, and enjoy an additional glass of wine served with a typical French aperitif! You will receive personalized attention from your local guide on this small-group tour, limited to eight people.
- Kids from 12 years old. Minimum drinking age is 18 years
- The minimum number of people for each tour is 2. We reserve the right to cancel the tour if the minimum is not reached and proceed to a full refund.
- Saint Emilion is a quaint, charming little village. This tour includes a 1h guided tour of the town, including some free time for you to roam around as long as the tour leaves Bordeaux on time. Also, you will not be able to fully explore the whole village, as we have strict appointments at each chateau. If you wish to stay longer in the village, you can organize another day trip yourself, as there’s a train station not far from the town center. For any further information about this, please feel free to contact us.
- Unfortunately Saint Emilion village is not wheelchair accessible. Please contact us for alternatives.
- We are not providing bottles of water, please bring your own. (water refill available at each winery)

Fun and informative afternoon - Francois, our guide, was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable about wine because of his years of experience as a sommelier and very informative about Bordeaux, St Emilion and the whole region.

Wonderful wine! - Clement our guide was knowledgeable and personable. Answered all our questions and more. The region and views stunning. Met by both Chataeu owners who were generous with their time and their knowledge. And a bonus the wines were very good!

Amazing afternoon learning about Saint Emilion. - We had an amazing day on the Saint Emilion wine tour with Jon. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about the wine region and gave us such a good background on the travel out. At the first Chateau we toured the winery, learned all about the process of winemaking and then sampled 3 different wines, learning why each was different. We then took a tour of the town of Saint Emilion which was absolutely beautiful and had time to visit a beautiful wine bar which Jon had reccomended to us.
We then visited another chateau - Chateau Grangey - and here we met the most passionate winemaker and learned about his ways of doing things which were slightly different to the norm. We got to taste 3 different wines here, with some bread and cheese and this was the most amazing end to our afternoon. I wish I could spend all my Saturday afternoons in this way. We will definitely be back. And I will be choosing my wines more selectively from here on in with all the knowledge. Thank you to Jon!

just great and super recommended - The resort was surrounded by greenery in this delightful that I did not know. The hearty and tasty dishes and the very kind and very helpful staff. I really hope to be back with the rest of the family. Only wrong note a bad road to get there

Simply perfect - My husband and I did this tour with out guide Clem. He was very knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about what he does. He was very friendly and we really enjoyed chatting with him throughout the afternoon. Both wineries were interesting and the tour around saint emillion was idyllic. The wines we tasted were perfect at both vineyards and the cheeses provided at the second winery were an added bonus. I couldn't recommend this tour anymore we had such a fantastic time. Thanks so much Clem

Jon made our day super special! - Jon was a great tour guide and took us to two beautiful wineries as well as showing us the sites of Saint Emillion. We were able to taste some amazing local wines. Jon covered the tour on his day off when another tour guide called in sick, which was much appreciated as meant we did not miss the experience. Jon provided lots of local recommendations in Bordeaux for food and drink after the tour. We had a great day thanks to Jon - thank you!!
