• Quais De Bordeaux - Delight in the stunning view of the River Garonne while learning about its port and wine trade history.
• Pont de Pierre - From the riverside, observe from afar one of Bordeaux’s oldest bridges, “Pont de Pierre,” constructed for Napoleon Bonaparte in the early 19th century. Discover the connection between wine and royalty. Please note that the monument will not be visited up close.
• Pont Jacques Chaban Delmas - Looking north of Bordeaux, spot another significant bridge from a distance. Be amazed by the incredible technology used to create this impressive bridge. Learn about the new technologies in winemaking. Please note that the monument will not be visited up close.
• Eglise St Louis des Chartrons - Visit one of Bordeaux’s most iconic churches. Admire the church’s beauty and learn about its history.
• La Cité du Vin - From a distance, spot the world’s largest wine exposition museum up the river to the north. Learn about wine regions and grape varieties while appreciating the beauty of this 21st-century museum. Please note that the monument will not be visited up close.
• 29 Quai des Chartrons - View a “Maisons Jumelles,” or twin house, once inhabited by a foreign wine merchant. Understand the significance of foreigners in the Bordeaux wine trade.
• Chartrons - Prepare for a Blind Wine Tasting, an opportunity to engage your senses by sniffing and sipping the exquisite wines of Bordeaux, paired with various cheeses and baguette. The guide will explain and lead you through this experience at a local wine bar.

DELIGHTFUL WALKING TOUR TO DISCOVER THE CHARMING BORDEAUX NEIGHBORHOOD WITH OUR IN-HOUSE SOMMELIER, INCLUDING WINE & CHEESE TASTING.

This tour is crafted by our in-house Sommelier & Wine Expert. Participants will enjoy a leisurely walk through the UNESCO wine merchant streets, many of which date back 300 years. The tour lasts nearly an hour, exploring the Chartrons neighborhood and Bordeaux’s riverside, while learning about the various grape varieties used in Bordeaux, key wine regions, selecting a bottle in a supermarket or restaurant, understanding the 1855 classification, reading a label like a pro, the district’s historical monuments, and much more!
At the tour’s conclusion, all theoretical knowledge will be applied in a practical “learning by tasting” experience… Cheers!!
