- Rancho Del Rio - Take on the beautiful and pristine Upper Colorado River on this fully-guided SUP adventure. Paddle boarding on flat water is a blast, but add some current and whitewater and take it to a new level of fun. We start out in a calm river section to improve our balance and then progress down river with many learning opportunities on the way. Beginners welcome. All SUP trips depart with our 1/2 Day Rafting Trips.
Conveniently located to Winter Park and Breckenridge, Silverthorne, and Dillon, Upper Colorado River Rafting provides mild Class I-II rapids and occasional Class III rapids at higher water flow for a bigger challenge. Participants must be at least 12 years old.
Mid-June to early July is traditionally the high-water season. When the river runs at its peak, it can be a big ride. Most people enjoy normal runs in May, then mid-July through all September.

This section of the Upper Colorado River is an excellent spot to safely learn the fundamentals of stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). You can test your skills on the rapids or navigate around them. Originating from snowmelt in Rocky Mountain National Park, the Colorado River is born in the Rockies. After leaving the National Park, the river becomes more intense through the renowned Class 5 “Gore Canyon.” However, it calms down below this point, where our Colorado River SUP trips commence.
Experience the thrill of river rapids on your SUP. Take breaks on beaches to stretch and relax. Stop by a riverside hot spring to warm up! As you paddle, you’ll pass through picturesque areas including meadows, valleys, rolling ranch lands, and steep canyon walls. This diverse landscape is home to a variety of wildlife, such as bald eagles, deer, beavers, and bighorn sheep.
We take pride in being a smaller operation that offers personalized Colorado adventures. Our stand-up paddleboard guides are highly trained, experienced, and state-certified.
