• Rancho Del Rio - Embark on a fully-guided SUP adventure along the stunning Upper Colorado River. While flat water paddle boarding is enjoyable, adding currents and whitewater elevates the excitement. We begin in a tranquil river section to hone our balance before advancing downstream, offering numerous learning opportunities. Beginners are welcome. All SUP trips coincide with our 1/2 Day Rafting Trips.

Conveniently situated near Winter Park, Breckenridge, Silverthorne, and Dillon, Upper Colorado River Rafting features gentle Class I-II rapids and occasional Class III rapids during higher water flow for an added challenge. Participants must be at least 12 years old.

Mid-June to early July is typically the high-water season, providing a thrilling ride when the river is at its peak. Most people prefer the regular runs in May and from mid-July through September.

This section of the Upper Colorado River is an excellent spot to safely learn the fundamentals of SUPing, whether you’re tackling rapids or opting to avoid them. Originating from snowmelt in Rocky Mountain National Park, the Rockies give rise to the iconic Colorado River. Downstream of the National Park, the river becomes more intense through the renowned Class 5 “Gore Canyon,” but further down, it calms where our Colorado River SUP trips commence.

Feel the rush of adrenaline on river rapids atop your SUP. Land on beaches to stretch your legs. Stop by a riverside hot spring to warm up! You’ll paddle through picturesque areas including meadows, valleys, rolling ranch lands, and steep canyon walls. This diverse landscape is home to a variety of wildlife, such as bald eagles, deer, beavers, and big horn sheep.
