Don't Miss This One!!! - We had booked a cheese, balsamic vinegar, and pasta making tour on a previous day and wanted to do something a little different for the following day; the gelato crawl seemed the perfect choice. We were not disappointed! We highly recommend this tour by Nicola. We expected some great Italian gelato, but we did not expect the in-depth overview of the differences in how gelato is made. We visited four different locations, each has a different process and uses on natural ingredients. Nicola carefully selected four locations, each had a different taste, even for the same flavors. There's a science to this process, which we should have expected, but had not considered. You will definitely not go hungry! Of the four processes, we really could not pick a favorite. We got two choices at each location, thus got to experience eight different selections. If you are wanting something really unique, we recommend two of the "ancient" flavors: Giuseppi and Zabaione! Nicola also kept in constant contact with where to meet and he helped arrange a taxi back to our hotel. Really, don't miss this tour!

It was a fun little tour... - It was a fun little tour and delicious. Nicola was very knowledgeable about gelato (how it was made and other facts). He also talked about the city as we walked around. I’d recommend this tour to any ice cream lover.

Such a fun tour! Come... - Such a fun tour! Come hungry, you won’t be able to finish all of the gelato. Off the beaten path stops and pick your own flavors!

Gotta try them all! - Nicola knows his gelato! Loved all the information almost as much as I loved all the gelato. Two scoops at every stop. So much gelato! I admit I couldn't eat at all and I felt bad about that. But it was fun and well worth the time and sugar!

Best gelato tour in Bologna - I recently went on a gelato tour with Nicola in Bologna, and it was an absolute blast! Not only was it super fun, but it was also incredibly informative. Nicola has such a passion for gelato, and it really shows. He took us to some amazing local spots where we got to try unique flavors I’d never even heard of before, like Cannolo Siciliano, which was incredible. Of course, we also tasted some classics, and the pistachio gelato was out of this world—so creamy and rich. Nicola explained the art of making authentic gelato, what makes it different from ice cream, and even shared how to spot the best shops around. The whole experience was really well-priced for the value. If you're in Bologna, you have to check it out—it's a delicious way to learn more about the city and its gelato culture!

The best way to explore Bologna… with gelato!! - Yesterday, I had the pleasure of joining Nicola for a gelato crawl, and calling it exceptional would be an understatement. From the moment we met, Nicola shared his background and immediately immersed us in the world of gelato. His passion for both gelato and the city was very evident! Nicola didn’t just take me to three outstanding gelaterie; he also shared fascinating insights at every turn, revealing the city's stories and secrets. I’ve always been a fan of gelato, but I never realized the depth of skill and artistry involved in making it or how to truly appreciate its flavors. Thanks to the tour, I now have a much deeper understanding. It was a perfect tour for a quick intro to the city with a sweet treat. Nicola also offered plenty of recommendations for both gelato and street food so it looks like I'll be returning to Bologna very soon!

Best gelato you’ll try. - STREETFATTI brings a breath of fresh air to the typical Italian food tour. Not only do you get an excellent overview of the gelato offerings of Bologna, you get a real sense of how the gelateria locates itself within the broader context of the food industry of Bologna. It simply feels as if you are living there yourself, getting a true feel for how a local would navigate these different places. It is a can’t miss experience and nothing but tasty treats.
