Must do activity when in Bologna - Great experience - our guide Matteo was super knowledgeable about food in general and Bolognese in particular. Learned an amazing amount in just a few hours - also tried fantastic and unusual coffees, local pasta, local meats cheese and wine. Ended with the best gelato we’ve ever had. Very entertaining - moved quickly between stops never a dull moment.

A fantastic food tour of Bologna! - Federica was an excellent guide for us! We began the tour with some specialty coffee that stood out from the usual Italian cafes. From there we visited the mercato, watched the pasta making process, and learned about the history of Bologna. For lunch we ate various cuts of delicious meats and cheeses, finishing with the best gelato I’ve ever had!

Great tour and possible gluten free! - We had an amazing time on this tour! Many of our family and friends had recommended it, and it definitely lived up to all our expectations! I have a gluten allergy, and our guide, Matthew, went above and beyond to make sure I had safe options. He arranged separate gluten-free bread and pasties for me and even made sure I got a delicious ragu sauce when it was time for the pasta portion. I really appreciated his thoughtful attention to detail!

Great tour, highly recommend - Really enjoyed this tour with our guide Darren Atkins. He was so well informed and clearly passionate about Bologna and the food. We visited some great places and learned a lot along the way. A really nice way to spend a few hours in beautiful Bologna. The small group size is ideal.

Food tour in Bologna with Matt. - This food tour was wonderful. Informative, delicious and fun. Our guide, Matteo, was not just knowledgable about food, but the overall history of Bologna and its food traditions. He was incredible. We shared the tour with a wonderful young man from Prague, and the three of us bonded over mortadella, pecorino and espresso. This tour should be a must on anyone's stay in Bologna.

Not for families with kids - The tour was just okay. At the first stop our guide (and Australian / American) hyped up the pistachio filled croissant only to find out the bakery had sold out. What was really frustrating was that we brought our two young kids on the tour and our guide completely ignored their questions. It got to the point where we almost walked away. For a family with kids, I would not recommend this tour.
