- Mercato di Mezzo - Since the Middle Ages, the Mercato di Mezzo has been a hub of flavors, gatherings, commerce, memories, and the city’s gastronomic traditions. After Italy’s unification, it became the city’s first covered market. Following a redevelopment in 2014, it now offers a space to purchase or enjoy exquisite food and wine products and dishes on-site. Open daily from 8:30 AM to midnight, it frequently hosts tastings and events related to food culture.
- Mercato delle Erbe - The Herb Market in Bologna, as it stands today, was designed in 1910 by engineer Arturo Carpi and Luigi Mellucci. Inside, the traditional food stalls known as “treccole” were permanently relocated from Piazza Maggiore. Today, it offers a wide variety of spices and food delicacies from all over Italy.
