Day Trip to Salt Cathedral - What we enjoyed the most was walking around the small city and our tour guide and the drive. He was so kind and generous. I speak Spanish, and my friend doesn’t, so I had to translate. The Salt Cathedral is interesting to see, however we were not interested in listening to the tour information. We just walked through and looked. It was cool that they allowed dogs there.

An Unforgettable Experience - We were picked up at the hotel on time by Francisco. He was very professional and ensured we had a great time. We made a stop at Independence Plaza in Zipaquira (which was very insightful), then we went to the Salt Cathedral (which was remarkable), then into town for a Colombian meal. The restaurant was quaint and served the best food.

Amazing Private Tour with a Fantastic Bilingual Guide - We did a private tour of the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral as a family of four, including our two sons (ages 20 and 21), and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Our tour guide, David, was outstanding—deeply knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely passionate about sharing both the history and the present-day significance of the site. Since our sons speak Spanish but might not grasp every technical or historical term, we requested a bilingual guide—and David was perfect. He seamlessly switched between Spanish and English, reading the room and translating without us ever needing to ask. David truly made the tour special. These kinds of experiences depend so much on the guide, and he clearly has the personality and talent for this kind of work. Our tour also included lunch, and David made sure it was a memorable one—especially since we were celebrating one of our son's birthdays. He even arranged for the musical group at the restaurant to sing Happy Birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. Hands down one of the best guided experiences we’ve had in Bogotá.
