An amazing experience with an unforgettable guide - The Salt Cathedral is an impressive and unimaginable place. A visit to the city of Zipaquirá complements the trip very well. Nestor is a genius! He was the best guide I could have had. It was virtually my first day in Colombia, and he helped me with travel tips, and I learned a lot from him. He also spoke Portuguese, a true professional.

Tour essential in every way! - The tour was amazing! The bus was very comfortable and our guide Mateo gave us an excellent explanation both in historical, cultural and gastronomic data of Bogotá and Zipaquirá. And the Salt Cathedral tour was very good too, which was provided by the museum staff and allowed us to appreciate much more the beauty of this wonder.

Unforgettable experience to the Salt Cathedral and Zipaquira - We had an amazing trip to Salt Cathedral. Our guide, Tatiana, was amazing, helpful and knowledgeable. She made our road trip fun and joyful. The Salt Cathedral itself is worth visiting: history of the place, audioguide tour, exploring the cathedral and a maze of shopping routes - made 2 hours there feel like a few minutes. Tatiana then took us to taste local food and to explore the city. Due to the small size of the group it felt like a private tour where we met with other international travelers and spent hours talking and sharing our experiences. Thank you, Tatiana, for making this journey unforgettable!

Catedral de Sal, increíble! - The Salt Cathedral is immense! It’s very beautiful and quite ornately decorated. The lighting looks amazing and the fact that it is a functional church makes it even more incredible! I highly recommend going to see this Colombian wonder and spend some time marvelling at the design or sit in quiet contemplation.

Interesting but an hour and a quarter away from Bogotá and with a high entry price for tourists. - We went one afternoon because of the many favorable reviews we received on both TripAdvisor and Bogotá tourist brochures. I must clarify that the cathedral itself is interesting even though there are other similar structures in different parts of the world. Access for foreign tourists is $25 per person, which seems high to me, but in addition, being more than an hour away from Bogotá makes transportation expensive. It cost us $50 one way and $50 back through the Uber platform. The tour is guided in groups of about 20 people, which also makes the visit somewhat limited. There are three types of tickets, but the basic ticket covers everything you need, including a short 3D movie that almost no one sees, the sculpture museum, which is also located at the end, and a bus transfer from the end of the tour to the entrance gate, which we didn't take. The speed with which it was built, the quality of the design of the chapels and cathedral spaces, and the works of art displayed there are undoubtedly admirable. However, you have to spend more than half a day and about $50 per person for this visit, which lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours. We think it would be preferable to see one of the other museums in Bogotá rather than this church.

Needs more Structure - I felt like this tour provided us with minimal guidance. They were not too communicative on where to meetup, I would have appreciated reference pictures and reminders day of. When we got to the salt mine the instructor ditched us and left us with a tour guide at the site or audio headset tour for English speakers. After the tour we had to wait a bit for bus to pick us up then we had lunch at Zipaquira. The lunch was amazing if it weren't for the great meal I would have left 2 stars.
