Highlights
  • Paloquemao Fruit Market - After we meet at “Parque de la 93,” we will head towards “Simon Bolivar” park. First, we’ll take a walk through the park and then arrive at our picnic spot. Here, we’ll enjoy a picnic-style breakfast featuring a variety of exotic Colombian fruits, traditional “empanadas,” and coffee. During breakfast, we’ll explain the origins of each fruit and the history of their regions. Once everyone has finished eating and had a few minutes to rest, we’ll walk to the botanical garden, which is just 10 minutes away. Upon arrival, our first stop will be a special and unique place called “El Tropicario,” showcasing Colombia’s rich ecosystems, all within Bogota. The Tropicario is one of the most impressive structures in the country and the largest greenhouse in South America. It features six glass domes over 2,700 square meters, replicating the original bioclimatic conditions of Colombia’s ecosystems to conserve and propagate our flora. After exploring the Tropicario, we’ll wander through the remaining gardens before finally returning to our meeting point at “Parque de la 93.”
