- Thank you to Gerald for a great tour of La Candelaria! I appreciate the history and the suggestions he shared. I plan to return to NATIVA Arte y Comida Natural.

Great food tour of La Candelaria - It’s in La Candelaria, the historic part of Bogota and a must visit for food, people watching, shopping, and history. Luis was the tour guide and his English was outstanding, especially having only learned it circa 2018. He communicated with me via WhatsApp before the tour to discuss conditions and to arrange driver pickup from my hotel in Tequendama. As any good food guide would do, he asked about food and drink preferences and tailored the tour to that. He made sure to try to get in all the Colombia traditional drinks and food, and his knowledge of food and general history were really good (he even discussed the science of coffee roasting/brewing and Colombia climate for agriculture…as a scientist, I really appreciated that). He was also accommodating when I wanted to stop in a store or two to buy chocolate or clothing for gifts to folks back home. In one shop, he was very familiar with the graffiti artist’s artwork and motivations. As for the food, I was blown away by the variety and do not think I will encounter hardly any of the same foods and drinks unless I try really hard to find it in LA or NYC, and even then. Here’s a tip for busy days (Sunday) and tourist season, book for earlier times because restaurants run out of some of the popular traditional dishes. Luis knew this and asked me if I wanted to start 2h earlier after explaining the situation (original time was 4p). One of the better food tours I have been on and I’ve been on them in many cities.

Cindy was accommodating... - Cindy was accommodating and really knew her varieties of fruits, different foods and history of the old district. Because of the Holy Week, she had to change venues and did an excellent job on the fly.

The tour was an... - The tour was an incredible way for our group of friends to not only taste everything that Bogotà has to offer but get acquainted with the city and history. Nataly was an excellent host and guide. She went out of her way to get to know us, share her experience as a local and customize the itinerary to our interests and preferences. Nataly made the experience fun and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour and Nataly!

Fantastic tour - I had a fantastic time with Juana. I hadn’t realised it would be a private tour. She was charming and wonderful company for the 3+hours. The time flew past. I got to try more different foods than I had expected too, which was a bonus. We had wonderful discussions about all sorts of things and I learned a lot from her. We explored so much of the area too. I got to know it well enough to be able to return and visit places again and other places Juana recommended.

Exceptional Bogota food tour - don't miss! - My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our private food tour. Our guide Leslie was very knowledgeable about food and history which was perfect as we are connosiures of both. She chose stops that were perfect to our tastes based upon our conversation. And her English was excellent too!

A fine experience. - This was a little bit interesting. I was exposed to dishes I wouldn’t have ordered on my own. Our guide was polite and knowledgeable, however, not the most personable.
