Money well spent - Mike is the best. Very knowledgeable guide and chill dude. Fruit tasting at a local market was my favorite part but just riding a bike through neighborhoods in Bogota and seeing important historical areas was so cool. You get to see ALOT in the few hours you ride around. TOTALLY worth it.

Edgar caters to your interests, delivers best of Bogota - Touring Bogota and the surrounding towns with Edgar is a must for any traveler. Edgar not only is full of knowledge and wisdom (in addition to speaking multiple languages!), but he is well-traveled and flexible, and works with you and your companions to deliver the best of Bogota in your time with him. We were able to explore Bogota and Zipaquira with Edgar, and he was gracious enough to assist us in a trip to Andres Carnes in Chia. Edgar is beyond professional and friendly, and his love for his country is evident. The quality of our time spent with him over the course of our two days in the city was exceptional!

Great tour, even better tour guide! - My friend and I were in Bogota last week and we had set up a City/Salt Cathedral Tour with Edgar a few months in advance. We were so pleased with our tour, but we especially clicked well with Edgar. He's very knowledgeable about his country (and South American in general) and he loves answering questions about it. He's also just a good person, very sweet. He definitely took care of us. Contact him about a tour when you're in Bogota, you won't be disappointed!!

Wonderful tour - Just finished two days with Edgar and Explora Bogota and had a wonderful time. Edgar doesn't just take you to the different sites, his colorful explanations truly immerse you in the culture. He had so many stories to share, and great advice for us to make our stay in Bogota the best it could be. Bogota gets a bad wrap in the press but I have to say it was safe, clean and the people warm and friendly. We are so glad Edgar was able to show us his amazing city and I can personally vouch for the quality of his tours. By the way, be sure to add the Salt Cathedral to your list. It is a bit of a distance but truly a wonder and not to be missed.

Edgar could not have been nicer! - Edgar picked my husband and I up for a day tour of the Salt Cathedral and the city of Bogota. He was very knowledgeable and super accommodating. He went over and beyond to make sure we were happy and saw everything we wanted to see. I would highly recommend using him!

Amazing and fun City Combo Tour of Bogota and Salt Cathedral! - Explora Bogota is a wonderful way to experience some of Bogota's best sites. Edgar is an energetic, knowledgeable, funny, intelligent, and caring guide. He has great passion for life and for his country and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing Bogota through his eyes. The Salt Cathedral was unique and interesting and Montserrate gave us an amazing view of the city. Too bad we were there on Mondays when the Gold Museum was closed. I highly recommend Edgar and his team of tour guides!!

Personable/Knowledgeable Guide + Amazing City = Spectacular Tours - I visited Bogota from November 2nd-5th and contacted Edgar a few days before (via email) to ask questions and schedule my full day tour for November 3rd. I was very impressed by the information he provided and his prompt responses. He gave me great tour recommendations and I decided to go with the Salt Cathedral and Bogota city tour with pick-up at 9am from my hotel. Edgar came to my hotel promptly at 9am and we were on our way to visit the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquira. Edgar was extremely personable and has an excellent command of English (in addition to Spanish, German, and Portuguese). As we traveled, he answered numerous questions and pointed out various landmarks throughout the countryside so I could take pictures as we passed. At the Salt Cathedral, it was great to have a personal guide. Edgar's knowledge of the history and geology of the salt mine was very informative and his ability to explain each artistic station was insightful. He even gave me excellent photography suggestions and his rapport with the staff gained me a WiFi connection 600ft underground so that I could upload pictures and post to social media. Afterwards, we took a quick tour of Zipaquira before driving back to Bogota. In Bogota, we took a driving tour through various neighborhoods of the city as we made our way to Cerro de Monserrat. In a city of nearly 9 million people, with countless roads, and insane traffic, Edgar definitely knows his way around. The entire time, Edgar presented historical facts about each area and allowed me to take plenty of pictures of the beautiful architecture, art, and people throughout the bustling city. Edgar secured our mountain trolley transportation at Cerro de Monserrat and we made our way up the mountain. The views of Bogota were spectacular as we ascended and the modern city shrunk below us. The entire area was gorgeous and I appreciated the historical context Edgar provided. We ended our Monserrat tour with a delicious late lunch overlooking the city at the well regarded Casa San Isidro. After a full day, Edgar dropped me off at my hotel around 6pm. I explained that I had such an amazing day and greatly appreciated his services. He told me that the next day was his day off, but if I wanted, he would be willing to take me for a walking tour in the city. I eagerly accepted and we agreed to meet at the Gold Museum at 2pm. The next day, Edgar and I met as agreed and proceeded with the Gold Museum Tour. His comprehension regarding the history, artifacts, and implementations of ancient rites were very enlightening and a few stragglers couldn't resist following my personal tour. From there, we walked through the city streets through parks and colleges to tour Bolivar Square, where we witnessed a military parade, and then to the Presidential Palace. Afterwards, we walked to several museums, including the Botero Museum. Every aspect of the day was filled with wonderful Colombian culture and amazing photo opportunities. The tour ended with Edgar dropping me off at my hotel. I am so glad that I researched tour companies and went with Edgar. In all of my travels (US and abroad), I have never met someone so personable, respectable, knowledgeable, articulate, worldly, connected, and generous. This man knows everyone and was highly regarded by people everywhere we went. I felt completely safe and genuinely had an amazing time. Not only did I have a phenomenal guide, but I made a friend for life. Edgar, you got my number whenever you visit Chicago and I'll look forward to catching up with you when I come back next year. Thank you, Brother!

Great tour. - Edgar was a perfect tour guide who shared with us so much about the city. We could visit the major highlights of the city as well as what we asked additionally in one day which was very productive. Rated as very good not excellent is because the information given initially on the website was different from what the tour was actually was. It was 8hour tour instead of 4, we spent more than 20mins at Museo de Oro etc. It wasn't a big deal and again the tour was amazing but it would've been improved.
