Fantastic insight into Colombian culture and history - We booked the tour via Viator and it was advertised as a street art tour. Whilst this wasn’t what the tour was, the tour we went on was miles better! Lorena (our guide) was fantastic and took us through a cultural and historical journey through Colombia. We were taken to a market that showcased the culture of Colombia and were taken through a tasting of national fruits and their significance for the country. We were then taken around the centre of Bogotá and were given a comprehensive insight into the city and country’s history. Finally, we ended by doing a coffee tasting which was really informative. We cannot emphasise just how amazing Lorena was! The only feedback we would have is that the tour advertises itself accurately, as this wasn’t a street art tour (again, it was so much better than this so we were very happy with the outcome). ¡Muchas gracias Lorena!

Sara was such a wonderful... - Sara was such a wonderful guide! Very sweet, helpful and knowledgable. One of our stops was in the old market and the men’s bathroom ran out of soap. I asked if she could pass me some soap from the women’s restroom and she did (most Americans would find that weird and I greatly appreciate this hospitality).

I will say, we learned probably more about culture and food than history but it was great. Great group as well. Some recommendations for the tour (not to Sara but the company as a whole):

 1. When we’re in the market it would be cool to call-out getting chicha and coca tea. This is a unique experience people want just as much as the fruit tasting. I ordered coca tea for half of the group and they loved it. Not something you’ll ever get in Europe or the US. 2. Mention about how the uprising against Spain begin in the flower market next to the Cathedral. We were right there but no mention.

 3. Maybe show some photos of what Bogota looked like pre-Spanish influence and more about the native culture. Seeing old photos or pictures of dioramas are amazing.

Nice way to spend the afternoon. - Great tour for the cost. The tour was not concentrated in Candelaria but had an introduction and tasting of Colombia’s exotic fruits, infused chocolates and coffee. Stand close to the guide since it can be hard to hear the narration.

No need to hesitate. Just book the tour - Do this tour…don’t hesitate to. Liz took our group to some amazing and historic sites and explained the significance of each with such certainty and clarity. The price for this tour considering its value is more than justified. Just book it and enjoy!

Maria was a great guide,... - Maria was a great guide, and very knowledgeable. The opportunity to try local fruits and chicha in the market was great, and to also try a Colombian coffee. Maria also taught us a lot about different aspects of history and Colombian culture, which I appreciated. Well worth the three hours and getting to see different parts of the area. I definitely recommend to travelers who want an introduction to Bogotá!

Very Interesting - I had a great time getting to see the area and learning about the history of Colombia. Christian was very knowledgeable about the area and locals. He spoke English well and French pretty well too. It was good to transition from The Old City to the newer downtown and see the contrast.

Extremely poor walking tour - no information shared - This was a terrible walking tour. The guide was disinterested in the group and did not engage. He walked between points of interest on his phone. He yawned openly. There was zero information about Bogota, Colombian culture or its history. The guide did not deliver what was promised in the tour description. A complete waste of 2 hours. I do no need a guide that merely shows me points of interest. I could have gleaned the same information from my guide book in 5 minutes. The worst walking tour I have ever had the misfiring experience
