- Bogor Botanical Gardens - We will drive to Bogor, which takes about an hour from your location or hotel. Once there, we’ll explore the Botanical Garden in Bogor, located in the city center. The garden spans 84 hectares and offers a tropical atmosphere. We’ll walk through the garden, which also houses the presidential palace, and visit the main garden at Lake “Danau” Gunting, named for its scissor-like shape. The presidential palace is heavily guarded by the army, but we can still get close enough to take photos. This colonial-era building, designed by colonial architects, is still used for presidential residence and conferences. Afterward, you can enjoy activities such as walking, sightseeing, or bicycling. We’ll spend about an hour here before heading to a scenic waterfall, visiting various places along the way.
- Gumati Resto Khas Sunda - Around midday, we’ll dine at a local restaurant with a view of Salak Mountain, offering traditional Sundanese cuisine in Bogor city. You can also enjoy coffee, juice, or coconut at your own expense. Afterward, we’ll drive to a waterfall and visit a wooden puppet maker.
- Enday Media / Kerajinan Wayang Golek - After lunch or visiting the waterfall, we’ll see a “Wayang Golek” or wooden puppet maker, a heritage of Sundanese culture. The puppet maker is a generational artisan, having learned the craft from his father. Visiting the puppet maker is optional but adds to your experience. You can choose to buy a puppet as a souvenir of Sundanese culture. Gamelan, a traditional Javanese instrumental music, is also related to the puppets and is an optional experience.
- Mulyaharja - About an hour from the Bogor Botanical Garden, near the waterfall, lies Mulyaharja rice fields in Bogor regency. These rice terraces, located close to a fantastic mountain, offer stunning views. While not as leveled as the Javanese rice terraces, the scenery is equally breathtaking. It’s recommended to visit in the morning or evening for the best views.
- Nangka Waterfall - We’ll drive up the hill for about an hour. Upon arrival, we’ll walk along a path lined with pine trees, where you might see groups of monkeys. We’ll then walk through a stony alley resembling a canyon. The waterfall has three sections where you can choose to swim or simply rejuvenate your soul and mind. On the way back to the city via Ciomas road, you’ll see many local sights and possibly a Hindu temple, which is optional to visit. We’ll return to your accommodation within an hour.

Botanical garden is located in the center of city and is adjacent to the Presidential Palace complex. The area is 87 hectares and has a collection of 15,000 species of trees and plants. The geographical of Bogor which call rain city, inside the garden you can walk or rent the electric bicycle, scooter, mini car or normal bike. There is more activity to explore botanical.

Mulyaharja’s superior tourism is located on a stretch of rice fields set against the majestic Mount Salak with organic rice as its icon. This attraction is called Visit Mulyaharja.

Awesome - Our guide Agung was so nice and made our trip happy and safe.
We enjoyed our lunch on the rice field, which was my favorite spot on this trip.

The tour is very good.... - The tour is very good. Everything is wonderful. The tour guide is very kind, polite, friendly and enthusiastic. The driver drove carefully and safely. Food is delicious.

Family tour - We had an incredible day touring gardens, rice fields, and waterfalls. The stop with the puppet maker was well worth the time and the people were so very friendly. Haidar was a wonderful guide. We had people in our group of 9 from age 30 to 86 and Haidar was attentive to all needs and activity capabilities. This was our second trip with Rizky as a driver and I would recommemd him too.

Worthy Travelling Plan - This travelling plan is appropriate for all kinds of tourists including solo, families and whatnot, in my opinion.
Moreover, the itinerary is well-designed for people who want to immerse themselves in nature or want to get an insight into Indonesian cultural heritage.
The tour guide Haidar is friendly and passionate, who is like the friend and takes care of the needs of tourists.
Overall, it is a travelling plan that is worth trying.

A fun-filled day out of the city! - We had a great day out with our knowledgeable guide Haider and driver Riswan.
We explored the beautiful botanical gardens by electric scooter before visiting Chinatown and then on to see the wonderful artistry of the puppet maker at wayan golek.
Lunch was at the rice terrace with the amazing backdrop of the mountains. The last stop was the Nangka Waterfall, complete with lots of adorable monkeys!
Haider and Riswan took good care of us during the day and we'd happily recommend this excellent tour.

Bogur trip - We had an excellent time yesterday. The driver was very skilled and our tour guide was exceptional. He showed us many places around Bogor. He is very knowledgeable and knew a lot of great places. He also took us to a great money exchange place with great rates which was very helpful! Over great experience. Would highly recommend and the price was so worth it.

Great day trip to Bogor - I really enjoyed my tour of Bogor. Communication with the Tripedia team was prompt and clear. I appreciated the convenience of being picked up and dropped off at my hotel in Jakarta. Agung was a wonderful guide, he was thoughtful and welcoming. The itinerary was nice, with a mix of sights in Bogor city and the lush rice fields and greenery near the waterfall. Everything went smoothly, I’d recommend this tour for a day trip from Jakarta!

Good vibes, gorgeous views and great food - Had the most amazing trip with Fitri and Ikhsan! Both such lovely people and Fitri was super knowledgable and positive. Both were very flexible and accomodating in letting us determine time spent at each place and things we focused on. They also helped us to communicate with the locals and took us to the best lunch spot, we could have stayed there all day! Really good vibes to go with the beautiful scenery and very safe and skilled driving through some tricky areas. Also very punctual pick up. Really recommend for a full day of fun.

Lunch included in the tour?? - Bogor Tour
Recently I booked a full day tour to Bogor comprising a private car with driver and guide.
The tour fare also included lunch.
When we arrived at the restaurant the guide told me that the tour lunch has a budget and I need to top up if it exceeds the budget allowed by Tripedia.
He invited himself and the driver to sit at the lunch table as myself and proceeded to enjoy their lunch of chicken curry with rice.
When I wanted to order more food he reminded me that it is outside the budget and I need to pay. I only had a drink and a tiny bowl of chicken soup.
After lunch the guide asked me for 150,000 IDR to top up the lunch bill which he refrained from showing it to me.
Is this the normal practice in Indonesia to be brought to a restaurant at the guide’s discretion which require further top-up without my consent?
Should the driver and guide invite themselves to the lunch with the customer who had to pay for the additional sum for lunch?
