- Boge - Bogë (definite Albanian form: Boga) is a village located in the former Shkrel municipality in northern Albania. Following the 2015 local government reform, it became part of the Malësi e Madhe municipality. Historically, it was a bajrak of the Kelmendi tribe, situated at the northern headwaters of Prroni i thate, bordered by Shala to the north and Ducaj to the south. Although originally part of Kelmendi, the village was later associated with Shkrel. In 1908, Edith Durham recorded that the village comprised 75 families, all of whom were Catholics. The village is divided into two sections, Preçaj and Kolaj neighborhoods.
- Theth National Park - Theth National Park (Albanian: Parku Kombëtar i Thethit) was established in 1966 in northern Albania. In 2022, it was merged to form the Alps of Albania National Park. Initially covering 2,630 hectares (26.3 km2), the park is centered on the Albanian Alps, encompassing much of the Shala Valley. It was created to preserve diverse ecosystems, biodiversity, and the region’s cultural and historical heritage. The park features high terrain with valleys, rivers, mountains, waterfalls, dense forests, and rock formations. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) classifies it as Category II. The area is also recognized as an important Bird and Plant Area. In 2017, Theth was further designated as a Protected Historic Center.
- Tower of Nikoll Koceku - The Lock-in tower in Theth, Dukagjin, is characteristic of the area. This fort, located at the village’s edge, served the entire community. It housed families involved in blood feuds, requiring all males over 14 to remain inside. Only the women could leave to work the land in front of the tower. Today, the tower is a tourist attraction, situated south of Theth village and near the Shala river. Built 388 years ago, it has three floors, with the top two featuring old wooden flooring.
- Grunasi Waterfall - Grunasi Waterfall is a stunning natural attraction within Thethi National Park and the Albanian Alps, declared a natural monument in 2002. Located on the western slope of the Thethi valley, it originates at the western base of Boshi mountain peak, forming a narrow rocky trough through a limestone slope before cascading 25 meters. At its base, a pond forms, with water flowing into the Thethi valley and joining the Shala river at the Grunasi canyon’s start. The waterfall’s slope is covered by dense forest, and on sunny days, a rainbow often appears due to the water droplets. This rare phenomenon makes it a significant tourist destination in the Albanian Alps.
- Blue Eye of Theth - The Blue Eye is the most popular natural attraction in Theth, located in the village of Kaprre, about 7 km from Thethi village center. Part of Thethi National Park, the Blue Eye of Kaprre is a well (Black Well) with a surface area of approximately 100 m2 and a depth of 4-5 meters, formed by the Black River flowing from upper Kaprrea. Nestled between rocky and green slopes, the well’s depth gives it blue and emerald hues depending on the season, creating a captivating landscape for visitors. The Black River originates in Maja e Zeze, fed mainly by melting snow, and joins the Shala River in Nderlysa before flowing into the Drin river/Komani Lake.
