I would die for Diego - Wonderful time! It’s a bit chaotic outside the bus stop but the guides did a great job of finding us. We had Diego, and I would die for Diego. He was amazing. The bus ride took about 40 minutes, then there is a little bathroom that costs 10 pesos per person, and a little shop across the street where you spend a few minutes before starting the hike. Diego taught us about flora and fauna along the hike, adjusted the itinerary when one of the beaches was super crowded and a bit awkward, so we were able to spend more time at a more private beach, and seemed to know everyone we passed along the way. He is a kind soul. The fresh coconut water and pineapple was an amazing spot so don’t forget some cash for that. The lunch at the end was also amazing, we got the pineapple stuffed with seafood and loved it! Navigating the water taxi alone would have taken forever, but with Diego’s expertise we were on a boat in no time at all. The only think I will say is to not be super set on your plans for the day right after, because our adventure ended up lasting from 9:30-5:30 so it was a bit longer than we thought but everyone in our group was fine with that! All in all, a great adventure.

We had a great time. It... - We had a great time. It was a 2.5 mile hike to gorgeous beaches. You gain and lose about 300-400 feet in elevation as you go up and down hills. The guide was wonderfully knowledgeable. I took my two teenagers and they liked it too. Wish we had a little more time for R &R on last least beach.

Great hike with great views! - Starting with the bus ride to the location was a great way to see determine where abouts you can go back and do more sightseeing and the differences of zones. At starting point of hike was a great view of the bay. Must see and must do! It's not for the faint of heart, the hike is more on the moderate to difficult side so be forewarned. But so worth seeing at the beaches and great finish at the resto! I'll be doing this again for sure!

Overall great - Juan our tour guide was great. He taught us about about the natural environment and history of the places we hiked. Note that there isn't really a timeline for the whole excursion. We left a bit after 9:30am and got home at 6pm because of some delays at the restuatant and boat ride back at the end. Overall, it was a fun time getting to know more about the culture, the other tourists, our guide in an active and fun way!

Great tour, great guide! - Juan is an awesome guide. He's got great energy. He's kind, informative, and did his best to make sure we were treading carefully and safely. I loved the beautiful beaches, I only wish we had a little more time at the second one, but I think we were more limited on time because we started a little late. That being said, I think it's important that everyone gets to the meeting point in the beginning on time, especially for this particular tour.

Our favorite adventure! - This is absolutely worth it! We loved this hike and the whole experience. Victor was our guide for the day and did a great job sharing information about the beaches, jungle, towns/areas, etc. The beaches are so beautiful!! It was really nice hiking along the coast through the jungle. We were extra lucky that a whale and her baby were very active nearby while we hiked and close to one of the beaches we stopped at. We met several really nice and interesting couples in our group. Everything about our day was enjoyable, including food at the end, and boat ride back to Boca Tomalaton. We loved it all so much that we want to bring our kids back to do this hike! Things they don’t mention in their excursion info that might be helpful: -Wear tennis shoes (might be ok with good water shoes) -Bring snacks and water. There was one place we stopped for fruit and drinks but that was around 1pm. It was almost 3pm by the time we got to the restaurant. -Wear swimsuits if you plan to swim/snorkel. There isn’t really anywhere to change. -Bring a towel. We forgot ours but it would have been nice to have even if you only get your feet wet. -Sunscreen -Have some dollars or pesos on hand. There are a couple of places before you hike that you can stop and use the bathroom but it’s 10 pesos per person. We used US $1. -It was a little chaotic when we first arrived at the meeting spot trying to figure out who to look for. Several different excursion groups meet at the same time and we were all walking around asking who was going where until we finally found the right guide. **Note to tour company - signs would be helpful!
