Starting in November, the tour includes observing slipperies and helping them reach the water, protecting them from their natural predator, the crab.
The excursion is conducted in small groups, allowing each guest to witness the entire egg-laying process. Additionally, participants have ample time to take photos and/or videos.
We operate our own Turtlewatch tours and do not outsource to agencies. Turtlewatch is available from mid-July to November!

- Everyone needs to be able to walk in the sand on the beach for some time, so a certain level of fitness is necessary.
- There are seats in the pick-up and also outside on the benches. However, no fixed seats can be reserved inside. Everyone should be able to sit at the back. And of course, children always have the priority of sitting inside.

Definitely recommended! - The turtle tour yesterday was great.
Individual, in a small circle, and no more expensive than “mass tourism”
Thanks to Kai, for the lots of very interesting information and of course also to the driver for the dreamlike safe tour through the night moonscape.
Here you have local experiences and German expertise of people for whom the animals are the focus, in front of the tourists.
Even if TIU advised us against other local providers, it is really better if instead of 50 only 5 people stand around the turtle, also for the turtle.
So really class and passion instead of mass.
Conclusion: STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

Choose this one, a great trip! - Lovely trip, felt very personal and we did not feel uninformed like on other trips with other providers. We could ask questions anytime and group was small which was great.

A unique experience! - A truly unique and beautiful experience! Our guide was able to give us a lot of information about the turtles and ES was very respectful of the animals! Their colleague also did a great job and you can tell they are a well-rehearsed team.

Amazing and definitely worth the money and definitely worth doing - It was really good and the team was amazing guiding us through it all and they was happy answering questions and that I got to hold the torch when the turtle was putting the sand on top of the eggs

Turtlewatching tour...a privilege - It was a super great highlight of our holiday on Boa Vista.
The guide was very competent and could answer any question very accurately. In addition to the detailed description of the event to be expected, we also actually witnessed the oviposition of one of their protégés.
All in all absolutely recommended!!!
And as a little tip...shows some respect for the events that nature has to offer us. Even if a turtle doesn't hear anything, I find it inappropriate to talk loudly or to run after the animal when returning to the sea. Think of it as a privilege to be able to attend this event and let the animals have their necessary rest!!! 😉

Great trip to the turtles👍🏼 - A unique experience!😍
Professional tour with lots of information about the wildlife on site.
Very trustworthy team👍🏼
We were able to see the entire procedure of laying eggs up close.
The welfare of the animals 🐢❤️ was absolutely paramount, not as you know it from other countries such as Egypt or Tunisia, where the animals are captured and displayed in the most contemptuous conditions.
All in all, a very nice tour that we will remember gladly!

Turtles up close - very great tour in a small group. You could observe the turtles really nicely with appropriate clues. With Kai and her team everything was a lot of fun and was super informative! Highly recommended!

Super well organized tours - Super good organized tour. Kai and her team were persistent in their search for a turtle to lay eggs.
Driver super, Kai super likeable, also takes time to explain. I felt super cared for so I booked the big island tour. That was great.
Can recommend Cabokai warmest ♥️

The Turtle Trip is a must for anyone going to Boa Vista - This was a great trip and one of the highlights of the whole holiday. To actually see, with our own eyes, a large Loggerhead Turtle, dig her hole and lay a large clutch of eggs on a beach was so inspiring and amazing, rather than seeing it on a tv screen. The guide was brilliant and so knowledgable and the driver was superb (how they find their way in the dark on these tiny trails is extraordinary). A scene that has been taking place for millions of years. Also the stars and Milky Way were clearly visible for us to wonder at. A truly awe inspiring experience.
