A fantastic day out - We had a great day out in Koh Samui. Given this was a private tour we had the option to see places that were of interest to us. Our tour guide was very helpful. He recommended places that we enjoyed seeing and also he recommended a brilliant restaurant. He also took pictures of our group at the various locations and they came out great. Thank you

Budget Tours in Thailand. Value for money. - The half day tour covers all the important spots that one can visit in Koh Samui. I would recommend taking the half day tour only on first day and then book a full day tour on the next. the benefit to this is that within the first half day tour you can acclimatize yourself to the weather condition and the customs o general behaviour in public and understand the traffic rules from the locals. On the following day just pick up a rental scooter and visit more nooks and corners of the island. The best part is the half day tour also takes you to the Na Muang waterfall for a dip in the pool and chill for sometime.

Great day out, great value - We were late getting off the boat, but our driver was waiting for us, we had booked a 6 hour tour of the island and this is just what we got. a great day out with a driver that was more than interested in making this a day to remember. Many thanks

Except meeting instructions this was great - I was a solo traveler. I had my own car and driver. Meeting place wasn’t correct. It took 45 minutes and help from a local locating driver. Once he found me his English was spotty at best. However he was polite and helpful. I saw the 6 top attractions in Koh Samui. I suggest arranging internet service off the ship to help contact and locate your driver. Best excursion on this trip.

I wish I have something to review... -
I wish I have something to review. The company never showed up to give us a tour.
I called the number for the tour company, but no calls would go through. We asked a local to dial the number and he said the same thing. It was not a working number. With little choices, . We spent 45 minutes in the hot sun walking up and down the length of the dock, but was not able to find anyone nor anyone who knew of the company.
When we returned to the cruise at 4 pm and had wifi access I found a message from 11:30 am asking where were we that they are looking for us. We were supposed to be picked up at 8:30 am according to their own specifications received before the trip.
This is the second review I write. My first was not posted so I hope this one does.
I gave them a one star review because I don't have a choice of none.

There was only one review for this... -
There was only one review for this tour and we took a chance on it. We shouldn't have.
I sent a message to the tour company after I booked for meeting instructions, but never got anything back from them.

On Feb 4, two days before the tour, I called the phone number that Viator provided for this tour company and asked for meeting instructions for our tour. She asked for my email address and said that she would send them that day, but she did not.

On our tour date of Feb 6, I called the number for the tour company, but no calls would go through. We asked a local to dial the number and he said the same thing. It was not a working number. With little choices, we set out with a sign saying Looking for The Name of the Tour Company on the dock at 9AM. We spent 45 minutes in the hot sun walking up and down the length of the dock, but was not able to find anyone nor anyone who knew of the company.

After quite a bit of effort and time and expensive cell minutes, I was able to get Viator on the phone. The customer service rep said that she would try to contact the tour company, but she was not able to either. At 9:45, they sent a message through Viator, which the Viator customer service rep read to me saying that she would be waiting at the 7-11 at the end of the pier. We found her there with no sign or any identification.

She then called over a TAXI DRIVER, and sent us on our way. He spoke very little English. It was not a tour, just a ride. He did not give us any information on the sites or the city. It was a total rip off. He would drop us off at a site and say Ill be waiting here for you. We would ask in what direction to walk and he would point. I have a photo that I took in the back of his cab saying Private Taxi and on the back of it was a list of prices for taxi fares around the island.

Don't book this tour! You would be better off haggling with one of the taxi drivers on the pier. At least you would be able to tell if he/she spoke good English.

Sun Tropic did not provide a guide... -
Sun Tropic did not provide a guide at all for our Viator Booking yesterday. We were met by a young girl and driver. As we got underway, it became clear that the girl did not speak much English and the driver none. After the second stop, the girl admitted that she was not a guide, and that the actual guide was on holiday. She knew nothing about the sites or could not answer in English. She was silent the majority of the time. Perhaps that was why my text, Whatsapp, and attempted phone calls went unanswered as we docked via the Celebrity Constellation. We are so disappointed and outraged that this happened after all our careful planning.
